Great service and great beer and wine selections. Wonderful little outdoor seating area as well. My favorite pizza place when in the Blue Hill area of Maine. You can also pick up and bake at home pizzas. Appetizers and salad also excellent.

My wife and friends have frequently visited Barncastle in Blue Hill to celebrate special occasions or get a quick getaway. The food has always been exceptional and very reasonably priced. You cannot go wrong with any of the set pizza options on the menu, the appetizers are all delicious, and the specials area always well prepared. Great local brews on...

A local recommended Barncastle for dinner and it did not disappoint. The setting is casual and laid back, we also got the sense that it's a place that locals frequent, which is usually a good sign. While wood fired pizza seems to be their specialty, I was looking for something more "New England" and ordered their clam chowder, which was...

Beautiful Inn/hotel. Restaurant is visited by locals with terrific food. Everyone feels welcome. Room was comfortable One suggestion would be better air conditioners or being able to open all windows. Staff was extremely helpful

This is a very cool place to stay. We chose a suite for three people. The rooms were divided with a tiny pantry for the refrigerator/microwave. It has a lot of charm. The place was clean and had good food. The continental breakfast has homemade breads and muffins. Wood fired pizza in the restaurant. Would definitely stay again if ever...

We had a delightful dinner and night at this unique Maine inn. Wood fired pizza is vegetarian or meat. Mushroom soup rocked it. The food was excellent, beer selection varied, and the rooms very quaint & comfortable. Great beds, linens, and quiet. Perfect birthday/anniversary destination.

November is a tricky month in Northern New England; its time for tourist areas to take a large sigh, catch their breath, and prepare for the next season. Thus said, shops and dining venues are touch n' go on whether they are open. Blue Hill has two open for dinner. A-ha! I was in town two nights - perfect! Barncastle...

Slept and ate here 2 nights & was not disappointed! Excellent food and Room #1 was charming, comfortable and pleasant. The building's exterior looks like a maintenance nightmare for the owner and may frighten off some people - but do not hesitate to give Barncastle your business. The crab cakes are superb! Pizza's are delicious as well. Wifi was weak...
