For a very reasonably priced, true Maine experience I would recommend the Chapman Inn in downtown Bethel. An historic Inn, with classic Maine charm and a very gracious and attentive Innkeeper, I found the Chapman a wonderful place to un-plug and re-charge. (I don't even know if they have Wi-Fi) While the Inn is old, itis exceptionally clean and very...

This inn is in need of repairs and renovations. Eg, the sink in our room fell apart and our shower was leaking into the ceiling below. Also, the other guests were smoking, and the smell of smoke filled the inn. Its an inexpensive place to stay, so that's nice, but it seems best suited for younger travelers rather than a...

We stayed with many high school kids for skiing. The floor was sloping so the ball would just role off of the table when the boys tried to play ping pong. The walkway was all ice and it was very hard to try and walk up to the door. I walked upstairs to see where my daughter was going to...

Chapman Inn is a quaint Maine bed & breakfast at a reasonable rate. We've been staying here for years is our go to place. Sandy the proprietor is like family and is very accommodating. Rooms are clean and towels are plush. Each room is different so check out the specs on the website. Breakfast is included which usually has a...

The room is perfect, the living space is generous, the French toast for breakfast is to die for! There is a gas fireplace Sandy, the owner, is a delightful hostess. Beautiful setting, next to the Bethel Inn and Gould Academy.

A friend and I stayed in the sute. It was great. The little kitchen, dining area, and bedroom were perfect for us. I typically don't like bed and breakfasts because it seems to personal, however; this place changed my mind. Definitely recommend and I would stay again!

We stayed at this inn the end of September for a class reunion in Bethel. We were very warmly welcomed by Sandy, the owner and made to feel at home. Our room and private bath were comfortable and clean. The dining room was very pleasant and our breakfast was delicious and cooked to order. I would stay here again. The...

When we arrived at the inn, we were so amazed at how beautiful the house is kept, original wood floors, renovated period appropriate wallpaper, amazing handmade furniture in the dining room, and a warm welcome from the owner, Sandy. We were a bit early, but Sandy didn't even hesitate to get our room ready and boy was it quick! She...
