I loved staying here. The food is fantastic. I had breakfast and dinner here. A couple things travelers should know...The rooms are above a restaurant that can get a little loud but settles down by ten. There are no TVs in the rooms. One is available in a common area. This didn't bother me. I hiked, MTB biked in the...

We stayed two nights with Woody and Lee in their lovely B&B and enyojed it very much. A very comfortable spacious room/appartment wich fitted nicely for our family with 3 teenage kids. Lee and Woody are great hosts and we felt very welcome. We had two excellent dinners, they really serve very tasty dishes. We can recommend their B&B to...

The MHI exceeded expectations. The owners are SUPER friendly and were accomodating to every request we made (from a wine opener for our room / to vegetarian friendly breakfast). The bed was comfortable / the rooms were super clean AND they have a bar!

My husband turned the wrong way in Bethel and all of a sudden we were at the lovely Mill Hill Inn. It was a warm, inviting, impressive home with very large and tastefully decorated rooms. Needing a place we quickly chose to stay the night. Woody and Lee, the owners, are very personable and Woody has phenomenal skills in the...

This hidden gem feels more like a large and cozy house more than a hotel. When I visited just before the summer peak season, we were the only occupants and had the entire place to ourselves - what a treat! It has ample space for kids to run around, and many activities (pool table, fireplace, common TV) to keep the...

We needed a place to stay on our way from VT to ME on Sunday eve after a family gathering...based on all of the other reviews of venues in Bethel, this was our pick! We arrived late on Sunday and Woody insisted we have a bite before the kitchen closed - the food was delicious!! Fresh, tasty and perfect! After...

My daughter recently had her small wedding here in Bethel, the Mill Hill Inn was her central location for accommodations, rehearsal dinner, wedding, and reception and it was 100% the right choice! From excellent rooms to helpful and professional staff, to delicious varieties of foods, to just plain beautiful setting, she could not have been happier. It's a lovely and...

We stayed for the 4th of July weekend. The first thing we noticed is that the property is so peaceful. Then we went to our suite and we were stunned by the size of it. We are used to being doubled up in beds...there were seven of us and we all had our own beds! Literally, it felt like a...

My husband and I were married June 27 at the Mill Hill, and booked the entire Inn for our events and for guests to stay over the weekend. There are plenty of other wedding venues (both town square and commercial wedding venues) in town, but Mill Hill offered us the convenience of having everything happen in one place, and for...

Our extended family and friends took over the Inn as our home base for a June wedding weekend. The rehearsal dinner held at the Inn was fabulous, and the breakfasts were also delicious including home-cooked eggs, breakfast potatoes, french toast and sausages. Everyone loved their rooms, which were bright, comfortable and spacious, and Woody and Lee could not have been...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Mill Hill Inn, originally a barn built in the 1870s, was first converted into a private home in 1948 and then into a B & B in 1977. Lee and Woody Hughes purchased the inn in April of 2010 and renovated this wonderful structure from top to bottom during that summer. The newly renamed Mill Hill Inn opened its doors September 9, 2010. The inn is located just off the historic district on the north end of the Bethel Common, on a secluded acre and a half. This private setting is beautifully landscaped with both ornamental, vegetable, and herb gardens, producing food and flowers for the inn. The leveled lawn space adjacent to the front door area provides ample space for a 30' x 50' tent, suitable for weddings and private affairs. The Studio Bistro & Bar offer a unique menu and a full bar, served in the Great Room as well as in our dining room. The inn has six rooms, two of which are suites. All rooms come with new king sized beds, all cotton bedding, and private baths. The suites provide guests with kitchens and can sleep six to eight people. Rent one room or the entire inn, which can comfortably sleep twenty-two guests. PRICES: STARTING FROM $109 - $119, DOUBLE OCCUPANCY, SUITES - $139, DOUBLE OCCUPANCY ... more   less
