We needed a place to stay on our way from VT to ME on Sunday eve after a family gathering...based on all of the other reviews of venues in Bethel, this was our pick! We arrived late on Sunday and Woody insisted we have a bite before the kitchen closed - the food was delicious!! Fresh, tasty and perfect! After... More

My daughter recently had her small wedding here in Bethel, the Mill Hill Inn was her central location for accommodations, rehearsal dinner, wedding, and reception and it was 100% the right choice! From excellent rooms to helpful and professional staff, to delicious varieties of foods, to just plain beautiful setting, she could not have been happier. It's a lovely and... More

We stayed for the 4th of July weekend. The first thing we noticed is that the property is so peaceful. Then we went to our suite and we were stunned by the size of it. We are used to being doubled up in beds...there were seven of us and we all had our own beds! Literally, it felt like a... More

My husband and I were married June 27 at the Mill Hill, and booked the entire Inn for our events and for guests to stay over the weekend. There are plenty of other wedding venues (both town square and commercial wedding venues) in town, but Mill Hill offered us the convenience of having everything happen in one place, and for... More

Our extended family and friends took over the Inn as our home base for a June wedding weekend. The rehearsal dinner held at the Inn was fabulous, and the breakfasts were also delicious including home-cooked eggs, breakfast potatoes, french toast and sausages. Everyone loved their rooms, which were bright, comfortable and spacious, and Woody and Lee could not have been... More

We recently stayed for one night at the Mill Hill Inn. We are a family of 4, including a 4 and a 2.5 year old. We called ahead because many B&Bs may frown upon small kids being guests. However, Woody and Lee said this would be no problem and recommended for us to rent Suite #7. This worked out very... More

Our extended family just spent the weekend at the Mill Hill Inn and it was perfect. The rooms were spotless and the beds so comfortable. They had a fire going in the morning to cut through the chill and a cozy dining room and small bar for fun get togethers in the evening. The food was delicious and was served... More

As any top-notch B&B should, the Mill Hill Inn made me feel like I was family. The building, which is a converted barn decorated with owner Woody's handmade ceramics, includes a pool room and a movie room — just like your favorite relative's place. The beds are huge and cozy, but before you crash, you enjoy a tapas meal inside,... More

We chose the Mill Hill Inn because they have a good-size solar array, and that kind of environmentally-minded investment is meaningful to us as travelers. We arrived at the inn and were met by a warm wood stove and a welcoming staff. We had a large room with a clean, private bath, which was very comfortable. Lee and Woody couldn't... More

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at the Mill Hill for almost the entire ski season. We cannot say enough at how pleased we both were for the above and beyond hospitality that Lee & Woody and the rest of their staff, showed us this past season. The quaint dinners by the fire in our slippers, is... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Mill Hill Inn, originally a barn built in the 1870s, was first converted into a private home in 1948 and then into a B & B in 1977. Lee and Woody Hughes purchased the inn in April of 2010 and renovated this wonderful structure from top to bottom during that summer. The newly renamed Mill Hill Inn opened its doors September 9, 2010. The inn is located just off the historic district on the north end of the Bethel Common, on a secluded acre and a half. This private setting is beautifully landscaped with both ornamental, vegetable, and herb gardens, producing food and flowers for the inn. The leveled lawn space adjacent to the front door area provides ample space for a 30' x 50' tent, suitable for weddings and private affairs. The Studio Bistro & Bar offer a unique menu and a full bar, served in the Great Room as well as in our dining room. The inn has six rooms, two of which are suites. All rooms come with new king sized beds, all cotton bedding, and private baths. The suites provide guests with kitchens and can sleep six to eight people. Rent one room or the entire inn, which can comfortably sleep twenty-two guests. PRICES: STARTING FROM $109 - $119, DOUBLE OCCUPANCY, SUITES - $139, DOUBLE OCCUPANCY ... more   less
