We stayed here in mid October to see fall foliage. It is close to the ocean. The staff were very helpful and did help us out with issues we had with the room(like curtains not being proper.) Very quiet place - there was a kitchen and we did make breakfast there for couple of days. The AC was pretty noisy.... More

This is the second time we have stayed here and have not been disappointed yet . The room is very clean and the is never and odor in the room at all. The bed was the best and very comfortable and a king size and the TV was not so big that you thought you were in a drive-in .... More

We stayed two nights in October at the Colonial Gables and were very comfortable. It was cold and rainy, so we could not enjoy the water view from the private porch. We requested an accessible shower, which was available. We would stay there again.

The room smelled toxic. For someone who suffers from allergies and migraines the night was impossible. There was dark hair all over the bathroom floor and the bathroom floor was in poor condition and need some serious repair. Have no idea how TripAdvisor gives this place anywhere near a 4 rating. For our experience it was a 2 at best... More

We stayed in rom M73, which is the end unit of the motel. The picture shows the machinery that is attached outside on the wall of the room - it cycles on and off all night and sounds like a truck is outside the door doing donuts in the parking lot. The bed by the window has a 3 inch... More

We originally booked three nights in one of the cottages for Sunday through Wednesday. When we found we were going to arrive in the area a day earlier than originally planned, on Saturday, the owners were very accommodating. Since the cottage we had reserved was booked through Saturday, we spent Sat in a different cottage (#22). It was small, but... More

We stayed here one night and had a great cottage right on the beach. It was very peaceful and you were right at the ocean shore. We definitely will be back again. Room is not fancy, but clean and had a full kitchen.

My mother and I read about Colonial Gables on Trip Advisor and decided to see if there were rooms available at the last minute. We'd been traveling all day. The hotelier not only gave us a room, but set us up in a small cabin right on the water! I drove to the local food co-op and came back with... More

Easy access off US 1 - beautiful view of the bay on the Atlantic Ocean. Recommend the individual cabins with kitchenettes; tidy and comfortable with friendly and helpful staff. Our cabin was situated near the highway, so there was some road noise. A cabin closer to the bay would mitigate noise at night and early morning.

Mother Nature was certainly agreeable while we were there. We spent the whole week and wanted to stay longer. The cottages are spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The staff was friendly and would supply whatever we needed. They supply your linens and towels. The views are spectacular and the grounds were well maintained. They give you a tour... More
