Great accommodations! Peter was very friendly and helpful with our get away weekend that we needed. Room was very clean and the muffins, danishes and coffee in the morning started our morning with a smile. We will definitely stay there again the next time we are up that way.

My sister and I stayed at the Gull Motel for one night. After a very long day hiking at Acadia, we made our way to the motel and were very happy to find such clean and comfortable room to crash. The bathroom was a wee small, but the place was a great value. Very happy - thanks!

This is a great motel to stay in when in Belfast. MY husband and i visit at 3 times a year and always stay at Peters gull motel. Beds are very comfortable and location is great. The prices are good as well. If you ever need any answers where to go while in Belfast, Peter has all the answers. We...

Chris, you checked all the boxes--price, location, comfort and hospitality. We love to welcome back our repeat guests, who have been returning more and more with each passing year. I appreciate all that Belfast has to offer our visitors and love to share my favorite places and activities with them.

We enjoyed our short stay at The Gull. The room was comfortable, and noise from the road unnoticable. Peter was extremely helpful, and was gracious to return one night's fee when we changed plans and left sooner than we had booked.I will likely return.

Thanks for the positive comments, Maureen. When a guest says "I''ll be back", that says it all. We were happy to accommodate your change of plans. The last thing we want to do is charge you for not staying here.

Everything was adequate. Very clean and reasonably priced for a busy/lobster time of year. Very friendly office staff and cleaning help. Bathroom was quite small, but fresh and clean. Good ventilation (front & back windows) and available air if needed. Beds were comfortable (looked like double queens in all rooms). Highway noise not noticeable.

Dan, you obviously appreciated everything we have to offer at the Gull Motel. While we are a traditional roadside motel and therefore don't offer some of the amenities provided by other properties, we can offer a clean, reasonably priced, friendly and comfortable place to stay. These are qualities which are essential in the hospitality business, but in my experience surprisingly hard...

Really liked this place. We needed a pet-friendly motel in this area. The room are pretty basic, and the bathroom is small, but the friendliness and helpfulness of the proprietors more than made up for that. The location is great, and I especially liked having good coffee available almost all the time. I also appreciated having a refrigerator and microwave...

Thanks so much for your comments. We appreciate your opinion of us as a very good basic motel. We continue to work hard at providing our guests with a good night's stay. The best comment we hear is "we'll be back" !

Stayed here for just one night passing through town. Proprietor was fantastic in responding to my email inquiry and following up with a phone call. Helped a lot with local food options as well. Room was very comfortable and immaculate. Short drive to downtown. Great location. Would mos def stay here again!

Thank you for your review. Our goal is excellence at a great value. We find that a friendly welcoming attitude is surprisingly not always available in the hospitality business. It's something that we see as essential from the first phone or e-mail contact to saying farewell. Please stop by next time.

I stayed here in June for 5 nights. A great find amongst more expensive motels, probably because it isn't on the sea side of the road. However, there are several rooms with see views, of which I had one. The welcome was warm and friendly, and I was given an end room with Queen bed, table and chairs, fridge and...

Your review was very detailed and informative. We're pleased you extended your stay. People are finding out how much there is to do in downtown Belfast and the surrounding area. For example, the newly-completed Harbor Walk allows you to take a walk or bike ride from our side of the river all the way into downtown and the harbor. Moose...

This hotel was quite nice. It was an older hotel and showed its age. The beds were comfortable, the towels were not very large and somewhat thin, the noise level low, and overall cleanliness was very good. I appreciated the chairs which were provided outside each room for sitting outside and having a smoke and a drink in the evening....

Thank you for the recommendation. We do our best to ensure that our guests would like to come back. As you pointed out, the Gull is getting on in age (built in 1957), but our goal is for the motel to grow old gracefully.

Comfy bed. Excellent Wi Fi. Nice view. Helpful, pleasant, timely Housekeeping. Very "Friend"-ly owner with unique life knowledge. Interesting Staffer. Suggest contacting Office via phone or email directly for reservations. Rates more than make up for 50's-era style. Cramped, but manageable bath. Overall, a very comfortable 4 days.

Your review was helpful, informative and concise. We appreciate your positive comments. We look very hard at our rates every year and aim to be competitive. Your advice to book directly with us was well put--the customer can often get a better deal that way, especially in the shoulder season.
