Hotel nice, rooms good but the bar was very small & little seating, not enough lounging seats - needs improved. Evening meal & breakfast good. However during our evening meal the lights went on (by accident) and the entire room cheered! Evening dining has very dim lighting, I'm in my 30s & don't have glasses or eye sight issues but...

From the moment we pulled up to the moment we left, the staff at the Dakota were superb. The only con to this hotel is that it is a bit of a hassle to get to the city centre and about a mile from the Dalmeny Train Station. It would've been nice if the shuttle could have been utilized to...

My wife and I had spent our wedding night in the signature suite at the Dakota Hotel Edinburgh so when we were thinking about what to do for our first anniversary we thought it would be great to go back. We had booked an executive room at the hotel and when we arrived to check in we were given the...

The room was clean and very nice and the staff was mostly very helpful. In fact, we had a shuttle pick us up from the airport after taking the tram from the airport into Edinburgh, and the shuttle driver gave us a little tour of two very charming villages right near the hotel - just to be nice! What a...

We stayed at the Dakota Hotel in Edinburgh after a 24 hour flight from Sydney. Although the hotel is a few miles from the airport and from Edinburgh CBD, it is a great hotel for tired, worn out passengers in transit. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable - and the shower was absolutely wonderful! We ate dinner in the...

Our 2nd stay as a birthday gift and will definitely be back. The front of house staff were super helpful as were the waiting staff. We scored a suite on the top floor and it was seriously nice with an enormous, super comfy bed and great view of the bridge. Breakfast selection was really good and service was prompt and...

Booked in for an overnight stay before a flight. Admittedly it was festival time and places to stay in Edinburgh scarce but £169.00 rate seemed excessive for what was on offer. The room was modern, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The bathroom was excellent with good toiletries and huge towels but a very slippery shower floor. I could not get a...

My partner had brought me here for belated birthday celebrations. Well what can I say, I was SO impressed. Having Hospitality Background and after studying this at university I tend to be very fussy & picky with where I stay and eat - I have to say I could not fault anything with my stay. We had dinner and cocktails...
