My husband and I have wanted to do a jungle stay for years. This year we did it. Looked intriguing, so our son and his wife decided to get in on the fun and we rented El Castillo Mastate as a family. Although it will sleep 6, for two couples it's ideal. The futon bed in the open plan kitchen/sitting...

Beautiful tree houses nestled within a pristine primary rainforest in Costa Rica. What is not to love? It is rustic and requires a bit of hiking to and from places, but that seclusion is also wonderful. The biodiversity is incredible and the river/waterfall....just incredible, all of it. Great people and a great experience.

This was an amazing experience. The rooms are up in the trees of the rainforest. We had to hike up for about 20 minutes, then climb up almost 200 steps (not high steps but you definite need to be fit) to get to our abode. It was very clean, all screened in with a balcony and high stools to have...

Omg! Go here! We had the time of our life here, how amazing to live in such luxury in the middle of the jungle! We stayed in the 'Tortuga' cabin, really loved the outdoor shower and the cozy cabin feel, and to have such western comforts like a comfy bed, a fully equipped kitchen was just a perfect way to...

I never thought that I could be able to be in the jungle, since I was a child I had panic to insects, so this trip was an adventure and a challenge for me. And I must say that it was without a doubt one of the best trips of my life. I can´t wait to return. The place is...

I don't usually comment on review forums, but after three weeks at Finca Bellavista I wanted to share my experience in a few sentences. It's rare to find a place off the beaten track with such unique blend of people from the permanent residents to volunteers and visitors. Waking up in the trees, dipping in the river waterholes with the...

If you are looking for a true swiss family robinson adventure, look no further. We were so pleased with our time at finca bellavista. We travelled through costa rica for almost 3 weeks with our 3 younger children, and the tree house is the only thing I hear them tell their friends about. You drive 3 miles up a rocky...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Finca Bellavista is a treehouse community in the rainforest of Costa Rica! This village is a rustic, yet comfortable private retreat off the beaten path where owners and guests can explore the natural wonders of the rainforest canopy and enjoy treetop 'Pura Vida'. Finca Bellavista is not a full-service spa or fancy hotel. We are located in quiet corner of Costa Rica that is removed from many of the influences of the outside world. The nearest town (1.5 miles away) contains a school, a church, a pulperia, a bus stop, a handful of houses, and a soccer field. That's it. No souvenir shops, no mini-malls, and no rowdy bars. Finca Bellavista is for the traveller who wants to experience something truly different and special. We have acres of forest and gardens to explore, refreshing rivers, birdwatching, tours and much more. We look forward to hosting you in our rainforest home! ... more   less
