The night we had booked to stay was one of the worst weather days that S.A. had had in 50 years. The state was in an emergency as high winds, rain and tornadoes had hit. When we phoned to discuss the situation we were immediately told we would get a full refund (even though we had booked through Agoda with...

We booked Stone Hut Cottages online to visit a festival in a nearby town and were delighted and impressed. The cottages are each laid out with parking adjacent to a bakery/cafe/historic site and are ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS. The cottages have everything for a delightful holiday, fully stocked kitchenette, lovely bathroom and bedroom (with a super comfortable beds). The cottage was spotless,...

This is a great little place for a romantic getaway or just to getaway. The township in itself is extremely small, however, the hospitality of the hosts & bakery staff was second to none, and by far better service than most 4 & 5 hotels would have in a city. Michelle the lady who worked in the bakery was a...

Second time I have stayed here. If you want to escape and forget about life for awhile, then this peaceful beautiful spot in SA is perfect for that. Unfortunately I had to work still and the Bakery kept me going each morning with a coffee for my drive back to Pirie, and a pie for my lunch. Had dinner here...

Under new management that is keen to please. Well located for the forest. Visit suited us well. Be even better with a bit of maintenance and having microwave within reach of power without having to shift it.

The food and coffee was excellent and worth the travel. My gggrandfather lived in this place in the late 1800s Peter Henderson. It has changed and would make him proud as it is a gem in the Flinders.Stone hut is a small hamlet between Laura and Wirrabara. The pies are kangaroo and red wine, beef and Guinness, and other delights....

We stayed only one night for way to National Park on the long weekend. I thought 130 is too high price for that location, but after we been in the cottage we were totally happy! Nice and cosy, clean mini cottage with local bottle of shiraz, bottled water, some chocolate and snacks, even popcorn were there for welcoming. Free breaky...

These are very lovely cottages which are suitable for two. Beautifuly appointed by the owner with local wine and chocolate upon arrival. Key box outside for late arrivals. This is just of the Main Road but still a very peaceful surrounding. Cooking facilities inside but would recommend cooking outside so as not to have cooking smells inside. Highly recommend.
