My sister and I stayed here after 5 days in New Orleans. We wanted to see the bayou country. Claudette the owner grew up in the area so she was a wealth of information and had plenty of brochures to choose local activities and restaurants from. The rooms were comfortable and clean. We had our own bathroom which was nice....

Claudette, the B&B owner, was a very nice and friendly host ! Very hospitable ! The rooms were excellent and the breakfast was topnotch. We could spend the evening on her porch, enjoying a glass of wine and a nice and informal conversation with Claudette. Conclusion : we would go back when in the neighboorhood !

Such a sweet get away! Really liked the peace and quiet! Rooms were so clean! Really nice and romantic get away for couples in need of a break from the busy life style. From the time you get there till the time you leave you feel welcome and at home!

My husband and I stayed at the Chateau for two nights. We have visited this area many times and this is now our new most favorite place. Claudette grew up in the area and is a wonderful resource for activities, food and general information. She is an excellent hostess, her breakfasts are incredible. I wish she lived closer to me!!

It is a wonderful house and Miss Claudette is a wonderful host. She has done a wonderful job decorating it. It really feels like a home away from home. It is a great place to stay and I highly recommend it to anyone staying in or around the Raceland area.

I have stayed twice at Claudette's, once by myself and once with my husband. Each time the room was very comfortable and peaceful. The back porch and yard are exceptionally pleasant, overlooking the bayou, and I suggest that you make time in your schedule to sit out there and enjoy a drink and a chat. Our coming-and-going schedules were a...

Thanks for the kind words. Adair, it was a pleasure having you and your husband stay as guests at my B&B. I am so fortunate to get to meet such lovely people as yourselves. Any innkeeper would be pleased to have both of you as guests.

Claudette is a nice cat lady but during our stay we never felt our well behaved kids were welcome! We have stayed at many B&B's in LA and are used to more openness and relaxed environment. Road next to house is quite noisy early in the morning. Anyway if u travel as seniors this is properly fine but not for...

I am sorry that you felt this way, but I personally love children and many have stayed at my B&B and loved it here. Wish you would have commented this to me while you were here, so we could have determined why your child felt this way. And, had you mentioned any problems with your room, I would have been...

I loved Miss Claudette and her entertaining stories at breakfast. The rooms were charming and quaint along the entire property. Breakfast was made with love and it was oh so delicious! We even had fresh figs off her tree! Definitely right there on the bayou- such a wonderful truly Louisiana experience!

My wife and I stopped at the Visitors Center, got Ms Claudette's name. She treated us like life long friends, great ideas for local attractions, and just a comfortable stay. Turned out she knows a mutual friend from our home town in Wisconsin...will be back every time we are in area..Ms Claudette is a wonderful person! Thank you.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Chateau on the Bayou B&B for a week. Ms. Claudette was a wonderful host and bent over backwards to make sure I was taken care of and the accommodations were top notch yet very affordable. The house is beautiful, very quaint and full of southern charm. Ms. Claudette made me feel very...
