I had never been to a B&B and was actually quite nervous when my wife booked. I'm not really comfortable sharing living spaces like that with other people. However, upon arrival (Halloween weekend) I felt welcomed and comfortable. Claudette was very friendly and helpful with pointing us to a great little restaurant that we liked, and we appreciated the cleanliness...

We had business in 2015 and again in 2016 in Raceland. We stayed at Claudet Pitre's A Chateau on the Bayou both times. The second time was really like staying at your sister's. Felt so comfortable and familiar. The room was clean, spacious. Cable tv. Our room had a private bath with an old fashioned claw foot tub, big fluffy...

Always a pleasure having you and your husband as guests at my B&B. Thanks for the kind words and, yes, you do feel like a sister to me, also. Meeting and getting to know guests like you is truly a blessing. You are always welcome, anytime.

First off, my mistake that I didn't know that a "bayou" isn't necessarily the kind of swampy, natural area that you see on Discovery Channel. When I chose A Chateau on the Bayou, I did so because of the name and because my husband and I wanted to spend our 20th anniversary surrounded by nature in an environment that was...

So sorry that you had not researched more into what you were actually booking. Yes, a bayou is totally different than the swamps. When you first got here, you expressed that you thought you would have the entire house and no one else was going to be here. I think you were looking more for a secluded camp than a...

Our family of 8 adults arrived after late flight to enjoy a warm welcome, great accommodations and, in the morning fresh coffee on the porch overlooking the bayou. WE lingered as long as we could visited with Claudette, wonderful host and great cook! You may think this review is too good to be reliable but consider this. We stayed there...

Top notch BnB! The owner, Claudette, went out of her way to be helpful. The room was spotless and the bed tres comfortable. ( my french) The Property is on the Bayou, lots of outdoor seating area, lovely porch with rocking chairs facing the Bayou. Location is great for touring around nearby towns with plenty of restaurants. Loved the swamp...

Been back a few weeks from our awesome road trip, but one of the many highlights was an air boat trip on the bayou, recommended by our very knowledgeable host Claudette. We had a fab stay there in homely comfort in a very chilled and most welcoming atmosphere. For anybody who has a busy lifestyle like us and wants to...

This is an awesome B &B. The owner (Ms Claudette) was amazing. She is very knowledgable and gives great advice. Breakfast was great too. Thibodaux is a great place with plenty to do. The B&B is right on the bayou about 10 mins from Thibodaux and about an hour from downtown New Orleans...... perfect for visiting NO without staying in...

My friends and I went to stay here for the Mardi Gras weekend in New Orleans this year, and I'm really happy that we did. The hostess was very nice, and she knows all best places to watch out for. The weather in Raceland was also very nice, so we were able to enjoy the the B&B completely. No Regrets!
