The Manager a male was the rudest person I have ever encountered in my 40 years plus of professional travel. I would fire him at the drop of a dime before I allowed him to ruin my business. I am a retired Travel Manager and...More

I spent most of my time in the French Quarter.. access to the interstate is close for a 10-15 minute ride to downtown New Orleans (tip: I go to Harrah's Casino to play the slots and tables.. get the rewards card put it in the machines for half hour and parking is free.. most places charge 35.00 or more.. Bourbon Street is a 5 minute walk from the casino). The Aquarium at the end of Canal Street is very good, the French Market also has great souvenirs and food.. there are numerous clubs there too.. I like Turtle Bay, and BB Kings which are on Decatur St.. if you have google maps, it will show you sites around meterie, I drove to the places, didn't walk.. parking was no problem..
