I always love staying here when I need a quick getaway. The staff is usually very personable and pleasant. It can be a little tricky getting here if you're not familiar with Metairie, but it's close to so many other businesses--you'll be thankful you chose...More

If this is the Sleep Inn & Suites in Metairie. There is not much around it that is walkable. It is not far from a Main Street with a lot of food restaurants but it is about half mile away and you would be walking on very busy road or through what appeared to be commercial area. ( with car repair businesses, bars, towing business etc) you could take cab into New Orleans from there or probably bus and then you could walk around New Orleans area
