We stayed two nights while researching stories of southern Louisiana country. Dan accommodated our early schedule, answered our many journalist questions, and directed us to eateries, roads to travel and places to see - cultural, geographic, historic. He also owns the Pujo Street Cafe with excellent food and great southern coffee - a touch of chicory! The B&B of period...

Very quaint! Very clean. Very friendly. And the breakfast was delicious!! Dan was very helpful with suggestions of places to eat it in town and places to go and visit. Can't wait to go back! It was also very quiet and well maintained.

In LC for mini reunion with college friends. I did not stay there but visited. Very nice and affordable though part of town not the most desirable. Owner, a chef, owns Pujo Street Cafe, see my review. Nice change from typical hotel. Worth it I think.

I was not "wowed" like the rest of the reviews. The room was nice and clean, but the towels were old and ragged, The cheap bathroom rug and toilet cover really bothered me, I cannot imagine the germs on these! The breakfast was nice, but not "gourmet" based on previous reviews and as stated on the website. Eggs, a piece...

Our hotel was not available for a second night, my wife found this B&B in a visitors brochure... now i wish we could have stayed here both nights! Such a cute homey house, comfortable and so peaceful. Can leave the casinos and enjoy a completely different world of charming downtown Lake Charles. Tried dinner at the owner's restaurant two blocks...

We arrived later in the day on Saturday, around 4.00 and my missus was feeling rough. We went and had a nice early dinner at the Pujo Street Café (Dan, the B&B owner is a chef there) and came back to our room. Dan made us feel very welcome at check-in and offered to take our bags to our room....

Great place. Just tried it and love it. The bar is really great. Bourbon drinkers will love it. I had the Basil Hayden. I had the blacken chicken for dinner. Simple dish but cooked to perfection. The staff greeted me nice and the waiter was outstanding. Not sure what ask could have been done. Outstanding service. Will be back!!

Aunt Ruby's is a really nice place. It is in an old Lake Charles home that has been renovated into a very well kept bed and breakfast. Great bed/bath amenities, modern room, delicious food. Owner also connected to the nearby Pujo Street Cafe so the breakfast was special. Convenient location and good parking.

Aunt Ruby's is a charming restored old home, conveniently located in downtown Lake Charles. Dan, the owner of the B&B was very nice and an excellent cook. The room was very clean and the whole place was very peaceful. We plan on staying there on our next trip as well. BTW, the picture above has nothing to do with the...
