Filthy!!! Never stay here again - I would give it a ZERO if it was available. Terrible and unsanitary. Definitely not Covid compliant. We will never stay at this hotel chain again. Will keep going through to another city.
Our room was clean, as expected from a Hilton hotel, but the whole building is ready for an update. The wallpaper in our bathroom was peeling off. Someone had tried to tape it back up, but that didn’t work. The breakfast looked great (we didn’t have time to eat). The beds were comfortable and I got one of the best nights sleep I’ve had in a hotel.
We booked a one night stay through Hilton and stayed at the Hilton Hampton Inn in Lafayette last night. It was one of the most disappointing experiences I’ve ever had at a Hotel. We are traveling from Florida to Texas and decided to book a King Extended room (paid extra for) since we’re traveling with a 1 year old and needed the extra room for our crib. When we checked in and got to our room they had put us in a double-bed room. so there was no room for our crib. We called and were able to get moved to a standard king room but they did not have to room we reserved available. This wasn’t the worst of it. Please see below: - Rooms (both of them) were extremely humid. All room fixtures were horribly rusted and had mold growing on them. There was nothing but a nearly empty toilet paper roll, and no new roll to replace it. Fridge was broken and leaked a ton of water on the carpet as soon as it was opened. -Room was filthy and had old food and debris all over the carpet. Found a sock from the previous guest. My 1year daughter woke up with multiple bug bites on her face. - Moisture dripping off walls and ceiling of hallway.Smoke detectors throughout the floor were covered with shower caps because of all of the humidity. This is a total fire hazard. -Bugs in the breakfast seating area. Overall this was one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve ever had. In no way did the hotel feel clean and absolutely not on the level of what I’ve come to expect booking through Hilton hotels.…
Housekeeping stole items from my room and then lied about it to the manager. The manager acted like there was nothing they could do about the items or accommodating me for my losses. They also were hostile when I mentioned something was stolen and acted like I might be lying. I am a diamond member and have never made a complaint before.
This place looks and feels old with a very bad refurbishment. The lobby seemed okay but the room smelled as soon as the door opened. Peeling wall paper, rusty light fixtures, lamp shade with huge rust stains, even the pictures had water damage. It appears housekeeping os doing the best they can they just don’t have much to work with. I cannot believe Hilton has not taken its name off of this property.
