If you're looking for a break from hotel life and wanting something more down home where the staff embodies true southern hospitality, go here. My only complaint is that I prefer it complete darkness when I sleep. The rooms have lace curtains, so the rooms are fairly brighter than I would like at night. Other than that, great home cooked... We stayed in the Mary room for our honeymoon and loved it. It has an antique four poster canopy bed. The food was wonderful and the home immaculate. There is also several restaurants and great area shopping. It is not too far off Camellia Blvd in one of the nicer and upcoming areas of Lafayette. There is wonderful Indian cuisine... More

Lovely decor and property. Fun to explore. Friendly hostess. Always happy and helpful. Yummy food. Best quiche ever! Kid-friendly. My 4-year-old daughter loved the chicken coop and the area for her to ride their bikes. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Let me start with the 'good'...breakfast both days was a LOT of good food, cooked to order. Checkin with Leia was also good in that she was very helpful with some of the history of the town & validation of some of the restaurants & sights. She also left us with her cell # for Saturday & Sunday in case... More

We loved the place and we had a lovely, but too short, stay in Lafayette. We even got to practise a bit of French in the hotel! We stayed in one of the rooms at the back and I'm happy that we did, as it seemed more noisy as you get nearer to the road outside. All the decor was... More

Had a nice night here. Stayed in Lafayette room which was spacious, clean and comfortable. Bathroom was separate and ok. There has been some postings about renovations, but it was done when we were there. Breakfast was good. Nice amenity that you could get a glass of wine or beer if you so felt. Staff was very helpful in suggesting... More

If you are looking for a warm, fuzzy, peaceful B&B experience, this may not be right for you. We have no complaints per say but we've had better B&B stays. We were in the Bouree room, which is separate from the main house. The decor was an attempt at shabby chic. We like a firm mattress but this went beyond... More

We are sorry to hear you were disappointed with your stay. It is our hope that everyone who passes through our doors is treated with warm family hospitality. The check-in cocktail hour is usually a simple glass of wine or beer with a snack of some sort if the guests choose so to indulge. In all of our self check-in... More

My husband and I had a wonderful two nights' stay at this bed and breakfast. The breakfast was outstanding, hot and plentiful, delicious and nutritious! The cook was a sweetheart with a desire to share good food with the patrons. We slept in the spacious Lafayette Room. I plan to inform a group of ladies I work with about the... More

My 10 year old granddaughter, Kelsie, and I stayed at T'Frere's last Saturday evening and absolutely loved our stay. Wonderful night's rest in this charming boutique bed and breakfast just 3-5 minutes away from fine dining and shopping. The innkeepers made our stay most enjoyable and Kelsie is still talking about them. Guests enjoy their own refrigerator in the huge... More

Having stayed at T Frere's several times over the years, we made special plans to stop in Ladayette to spend time with the delightful owners only to be told that they recently sold. Thus all the reviews you may have read are outdated. The great breakfasts are now muffins and some fruit. The building seemed to be somewhat in disrepair.... More

We are extremely sorry to hear that you will no longer be returning to T'Frere's. As with every new purchase it takes time to adapt. The new owners are working extremely hard to bring T'Frere's up to date in luxury and comfort of today's trends. It is true, Maugie Pastor, one of Lafayette's most beloved chefs, has finally retired and... More
