This hotel is situated in front of a small beach! The rooms are not luxurious but are clean. In fact the entire hotel is old but clean. Except for the couple of rats that I saw and a dead mice. The restaurant and bar staff were excellent. Really nice people! There is nothing

Hi Danny, Thanks for choosing to stay at Sunset Shores. We are situated directly on Villa Beach which provides breathtaking views of some of the Grenadine Islands and amazing sunsets from the coral deck or pool bar. Our pool courtyard has been upgraded with high end loungers and dining furniture, so has the lounge and upper dining area. From the description you shared of your room, it sounds like you were staying in one of the rooms which has not yet been completely renovated. Over half of the hotel has had bathrooms completely renovated and new tile floors have been installed. All rooms have luxurious mattresses and bedding, and new 40" TVs. Many guests have told us that our beds are the most comfy! The remaining room renovations will be completed in 2019. Our restaurant is open for breakfast lunch and dinner serving American, Italian and Caribbean dishes with fresh seafood delivered by fishermen straight from the sea to our kitchen. There are two neighboring hotels and a few restaurants just past the Young Island dock (two minutes down the beach at a lazy stroll) for guests who want to try other cuisine. If you want to go into Kingstown for other shopping, it is a short taxi ride or trip in a local bus (mini van). Our friendly staff strive to make our guests feel comfortable. Unfortunately, our renovations have stirred up a pesty nest. We are working very hard to eliminate the problem but as you have noted, the rooms and hotel are very clean and we strive to deliver Island Hospitality at its Best. If you choose to return to St. Vincent, we hope you will stay with us again. At check-in, ask if a renovated room is available! Season's greetings, warm wishes to you and your family in 2019, and safe travels.

Stayed here for business in June, the property is old but clean, I didn’t spend much time in my room. The WiFi and cable works fine. The room rate was decent also. You pay for everything here so we opted to eat at the Beachcomber where our conference was held and the food was

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to post a review on TripAdvisor. Sunset Shores is located directly on Villa Beach with pool courtyard and beach bar which have been upgraded with high-end sun loungers and dining furniture. Our dining room and lounge have also recently been enhanced with new furniture for our guests' enjoyment. All rooms have new luxurious Euro-top mattresses and linens, 40" flat screen TVs, coffee/tea facilities, mini-fridge, A/C and complimentary Wi-Fi. Transformers will be available in each room and converters are available for purchase from our small boutique located by reception. We are just completing renovations to most of our east wing. All rooms will be redecorated with new tiles and furnishings so you may have stayed in one of the rooms in the west wing which has not yet been renovated. We are progressing slowly with the renovations in an attempt to limit any inconvenience to our guests. Our main dining room is open from 7 am to 10 pm serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Snacks are available throughout the day. Our poolside grille and beach bar will also be open daily from 11 am. From the beach bar and coral deck, guests can enjoy breathtaking views of sunsets as each day comes to an end - many will take advantage of our happy hour which takes place daily from 6 to 7 pm. We recognize that many guests like an all-inclusive option so this will be introduced in the near future. We have found that it is not always desired by the business traveler since meetings or conferences may require you to be away from the property for a good portion of the day. Sunset Shores also offers conference facilities and is an ideal spot for special events, parties and weddings. St. Vincent and the Grenadines is a very beautiful island. If you return to St. Vincent, we hope you will choose to stay with us again with a little more time to enjoy all that Sunset Shores has to offer - Island Hospitality at its Very Best.

are there any nightlife around, and activities during the daytime.
Yes there is nightlife. There is a 24hr bar and restaurant called the Boat Club next to Mariners Hotel just 5mins away and the Aquatic Club nightclub. The hotel staff would happily give you information on daytime activities.

How is the food at Sunset Shores Beach Hotel
We think the food at Sunset Shores is delicious and many guests who have shared their experiences with us on FaceBook agree! We serve local and American cuisine at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Our servings are generous. Fish and lobster is delivered to our chefs by fishermen who bring it straight from the boat to our kitchen. Dinner is served with locally grown vegetables. Our desserts are homemade. Saturday night BBQ buffet includes your choice of Chicken, Fish, Ribs or Steak, with salad, a variety of sides and dessert. Our dinner menu includes a variety of soups, salads and appetizers. Choose from chicken, pork, beef, lamb, seafood, and a variety of pasta dishes. The lunch menu includes lighter selections - if that is your preference. Let us know if you have a certain meal in mind - and we'll let you know how Sunset Shores would prepare it for you :)
