I stayed here 5 nights over Christmas as a solo traveller. The room was bigger and better than I expected with a partial sea view. The room was right above the restaurant/bar where they play live music so if you go to sleep before midnight, this isn’t a great spot for you - for me, was no problem. Plus....the band “Sacrafice” are amazing!!!!

There was a communal balcony outside my door for smoking, the room was large with the basics you need, and staff were great for the most part. Just one night i got upset when i sat at the restaurant bar and the waitress told me i couldn’t sit there as i wasn’t having food...even though i was a guest at the hotel and had room service just before. When you travel solo, sometimes you prefer to eat in your room than sit alone at a restaurant. When she found out i was a guest she was very sorry but she should ask first before what she did.

I sat at this bar every night and met people - it was very social for me. It has great live music, a chilled vibe (there’s no hardcore partying on the beach) and enjoyed the ambience.

Check in and check out was quick and easy. The location is the best on the beach and it’s the best night spot on the beach. I would recommend and stay again. Thank you :)

Our family found Alona Vida Beach resort pleasant for what it is.
Pros:
Very close to the beach
Staff were accommodating
Close to restaurants
Our room had a balcony, which was nice
Cons:
Long walk to hotel especially when carrying luggage
Extremely hard mattress
Floors are slippery, considering the location of the hotel, where being wet is a huge factor
Very old room
Pool is small
In summary, the location of Alona Vida is great for the beach, but at the start and end of your stay, it's a bit of a pain to get your luggage back and forth. So we suggest packing lightly. Alona Beach is basically a smaller version of Boracay now. With bars and restaurants aligning the beach front and people selling tours and items for the beach. So be mindful of that. However, the beach is beautiful. The views are spectacular!!! We recommend this resort if you're travelling with minimum luggage, like to party, or are transitioning to another resort.
We rate this place a 5 out of 10

Small hotel with entrance from the beach side through its own Cocovida restaurant. It is right next to the Hennan resort (along the beach) and comes at a fraction of the cost. I was on business trip and could not get a room for all 5 nights in any of the major hotels so looked around for ahotel which offers me room for the duration of my stay. At the end, nonregrets as Alona Vida is right on the beach which can be enjoyed while sitting at the restaurant for breakfast and other times. Rooms are comfortable with bare minimum amenities. Tooth brush didnot even last one time but the soap and shampoo are okay. They have hair dryer, a safee to store valuables, filled mini bar, tea kettle, and 2 water bottles in the room. Breakfast options are good and the food menu has quite a bit of choice. With live band playing, though it is at the end of the beach (Hennan is next), it is lively place. The rooms are well insulated from the sound and the music is not at all audible so there is no disturbance at all. At a fraction of the cost of bigger hotels, alona vida offered most of things one could expect. They have a small pool too. Recommend it for its friendly staff, food, and decent rooms at affordable rates.

Great little hotel right in the middle of Alona beach. Staff friendly and good and drinks very enjoyable and tasty. Room was clean but aircon was rubbish, fridge wouldn’t get cold and the bathroom flooded when showering. Works were being performed whilst we were there late October 2023. The beach wasn’t as good as I’d hoped and even though the beach was clean there was a lot of rubbish in the water. Be prepared to be asked for beach massage, tours, jewellery etc every time you step out of the hotel. On arrival car had to stop 100m from hotel and you need to drag your suitcases across broken concrete and sand. For the price and proximity I would revisit and recommend this hotel

This is neither a 4-star nor 5-star resort in Bohol Island but I highly recommend it for a fun stay in Bohol Island with friends. The location is very close to the transportation hub where you can get picked up by car or tuktuk, walking distance. It’s on a beachfront strip lined with various resorts, shops and restaurants. What makes this place stand out among the rest is the quality of service and food at their restaurant is excellent. At night, it is also the place to enjoy an excellent cover band, called Sacrifice. The rooms were clean with a mini bar and AC, plus there’s a small pool if you prefer to swim there rather than the beach. This location has a beautiful sunrise!

Rooms are standard and clean. Safe didn't work, bed side lamp didn't work, unplugged it and wires all frayed and poorly patched with electrical tape. Major fire hazard. Pool is small. Washroom redone but things already not working.Bring your bottled water, a tiny 350ml is all that is offered. After spending money in bar night before and tipping good, request for early morning water was turned down. Everyday repairs and replacement of broken items should be focussed on.

The room is basic but given that it has beach front, a swimming pool and friendly staff, it’s one of the most convenient ones to stay in Alina. Wouldn’t mind staying again. There is a live band that plays there and lots of night activities that happen along the beach strip close by

This property is perfectly situated in the middle of a busy and popular Alona Beach with fast wi-fi connectivity. You have to be prepared though with loud music emanating from the surrounding grill and resto bars including its own from 7pm until 11pm. It won't matter if you are a night owl person. The staff are all accomodating and their breakfast is nice as well. The only drawback is its accessibility if you are coming from the airport without pick up from them as you have to walk with your luggage(s). If not for this, I would have rated this higher.

+ The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was excellent and the room was good, except hard pillows.
- the photos/text on Booking.com are false. They DO NOT have a private beach area, They DO NOT have sun loungers/beach chairs or sun umbrellas.
The road is a couple of minutes walk from the hotel and you have to pull your suitcases in the sand.

I was a guest in the Alona Vida Beach Resort recently. Prior to my arrival I contacted the hotel with a barrage of questions. Lhea, that angel took the time to answer everyone of my questions and made sure I was at ease. I had no more worries. She was meticulous her job. So, I stayed for 6 nights and my time there was incredible. Lhea made sure I had someone waiting for me at the airport. I booked the Panoramic Room and - WOW!!! I had the best view of Alona Beach. All the staff were so kind and courteous. Sherime went out of her way each day to check on me. The restaurant was cozy with great food and drink selections. The live band each night were the best source of entertainment on the beach. Did I mention this is beach front property? Yes! I felt safe and was treated like royalty here. This hotel treats their guests with kindness, respect and compassion.
