This plantation is a beautiful home and interesting enough on its own but she match the history of this place in the stories that have lived out there and it is amazing! Mrs. Beulah is ready to share her knowledge and history of the area in the house. She is a one-of-a-kind! She made our trip complete and is one...

It is a beautiful place we pulled up to. Grand, stately trees surround the main house. Apparently it is the practice to leave an envelope at the office with your key. I'm under the impression that no one meets the owner but I may be wrong. We had to guess where we should park because while the info says there...

Wonderful two short nights at Loyd Hall Plantation. Quiet surroundings. A Bayou not far. And the grand House. We had a great tour just for the 2 of us. Breakfast was superbly cooked. Our nights were quiet despite the ghosts hanging around. This is definitely worth the trip. We should come back maybe early spring when it's cooler and less...

I only stayed one night at the plantation. The location is down a couple of country roads and it is very quiet and isolated. My room was in the old kitchen of the home, separate from the main house. It was a lovely room with a fireplace. There was also a full kitchen and a bathroom with shower only. The...

My family and I stayed at the Loyd Plantation Hall two nights, because our family reunion was hosted there. We stayed in the McCullough Cottage and we loved it! The cottage was updated and very pretty inside. There was plenty of room for our family of four. There was a flat screen television that our sons played video games on....

I've stayed here three times. Once, when it was owned by the veterinarians, once in 2004 on my honeymoon, and again a few years back for an anniversary. On all three occasions, the hosts were amazing, the room was amazing, the tour was amazing, and the breakfast was amazing. I've stayed in the Commissary all three times. It's been updated...

My wife and I stayed in the detached historic kitchen at the rear of the main house. It was comfortable and nicely appointed. Ms. Davis cooked a fine breakfast and gave the tour of Loyd Hall. She was gracious and informative. I visited this house years ago before it became a B&B, and it still possesses the charm and warmth...

What a beautiful place to stay. A step back in time. Wonderful hospitality. Miss B is precious and so very enjoyable to talk to, giving us great information on the history of the plantation. She made each of us our own individual breakfast, wow!! look forward to returning someday.

Ms. B and the other staff at the plantation afforded our small group and wonderful dining experience and tour of the home. What lovely detail and great stories from Ms. B. What a great treasure Ms. B is being affiliated with the home for so many years!

We had a mini-family reunion here and the place was perfect for that. One cabin had a ramp which was good for our senior member. We stayed in the big house and had a lovely suite. The place does not have the features of a modern business hotel but it more than makes up for that with its charm. The...
