We went into this house and we felt as we were in a museum. Really amazing. Beautiful old rooms. For this "bed" we would give 5 points. Breakfast was minimal and host was not directly hosting because not living in that house but available by phone or regularly visiting by car. Because usually we love to have a more direct...

Wonderful, homey rooms and a rambling house of Cajun crafts and mementos. Right on the Bayou Teche with great access for kayak or canoe on property and a short walk into town. Mary Linn is a great host and a source of information and advice on the area.

You will either love or hate Au Bayou Teche. The old house (oldest in Breaux Bridge) has been offering accommodation since the 19th century, and is itself a fascinating building, with a lovely garden reaching down to the brown Bayou Teche. The rooms are spacious and clean, though the house does show its age. Host Mary Lynn doesn't live on...

After a not so pleasant experience in New Orleans, my boyfriend and I were driving back to Austin and decided to stop a bed and breakfast along the way. After calling several places, we finally found one available, Au Bayou Teche. The host Mary Lynn was concerned that the AC wasn't on, so she drove over to cool the place...

I booked this online, and upon arrival, actually was some what disappointed in Beau Bridge, it was not the quaint little cajun town I expected, but the Au Bayou Teche Hotel was charming, but should never be called a B&B. Coffee you make yourself and sweet rolls from bakery, put in ziplock bags, not my idea of breakfast. Mary was...

Poor hostess. Do not waste money on unorganized bed and breakfast. Not a pleasant experience. Would not recommend. There is a very tense air about the environment provided. Not appropriate for children, lacking in stimulating feel.

My wife and I recently stayed at Au Bayou Teche Bed and Breakfast for five consecutive nights. It is an old vintage Acadian home. We originally planned on spending three nights here but after calling for reservations and talking to Mary Linn Chauffe, the owner, for about an hour she talked us into staying for five nights as she said...

While the location on the Bayou and close to Café Des Amis is nice, the service is hit or miss. Twice now we have had problems with reservations and the owner even honoring her reservations even when paid in advance. No more for us, can ruin an otherwise nice place and location if you don't have a room when you...

Staying ay Au Bayou Teche B&B is like staying with family you haven't yet met. Mary Lynn is fun, warm, and welcoming, a native of this most interesting part of the country. She is filled with local knowledge, which she is quite happy to share. We had only two nights/two days in Cajun Country, but with Mary Lynn's help, we...

I recently stay at Au Bayou Teche B&B for four days and was delightfully surprised with the charm of the B&B, the amazing hospitality of the hostess, Mary Lynn, the other 'boarders' that were also there, and the great food available a block away. Mary Lynn is a wealth of information of places to go, who to call, local history....

“For couples, the room in the back overlooking Bayou Teche would be great. There is also a cute room with twin beds -- although the bathroom is tiny. We put the kids there.”
