About 20-years ago, we lived in the Traveler's Rest 2-3 weeks per month. We were retracing some of our old haunts this week and decided to stay there again. During our absence, Bogalusa has suffered from hurricanes and flooding more than once, so we weren't sure what to expect. The motel did have some damage and had to make repairs...

For the price I wasn't expecting much from Traveler's Rest Motel but got a nice surprise when I arrived. Check in was easy and friendly. The room was bright and clean. It looked as if it had been remodeled recently. The bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows. The television worked and there was a refrigerator as well as a...

We went to Bogalusa for the Blues Festival, (which turned out to be more a rock festival), but we found this hotel to be clean, spacious, comfortable, excellent value for money. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Constructed like a 1970's Holiday Inn, this motel has been well kept, perhaps even renovated. It is clean. The room has no decorations. The Internet is grossly slow and inferior to other motels, and occasionally doesn't work at all. Be careful - the toilet seats are rather small.

Nice locally owned motel, very clean and comfortable. Bed was very comfortable. The Wi-Fi was spotty and connection to server was on and off but overall a nice place and will return anytime I'm working in the area. Convenient to town and a short drive to local restaurants.

I booked the room for its budget price, not expecting much, but was stunned to discover how nice it is. The room was modern; amenities were excellent; staff very friendly and professional. It was as good as hotels and motels I've stayed in that are priced 50-100% higher. Very pleasant surprise!

Clean room good friendly service. Very reasonable price. Stayed two nights April 15-16. Very comfortable beds but their wi-fi internet access was very weak. They have smoking rooms availabe which I took advantage of AC and ventilation was excellent. No bugs no hassles, in general a great stay in a small town just what I like when traveling on business.

This was my first visit to Bogalusa. We went specifically for the Blues and Heritage Festival and were concerned that we might not find a good hotel. Well, Traveler's was perfect!! Very clean, excellent beds, conveniently located and the lady at the desk was so helpful and friendly. Will stay here again for the next festival.

We stayed at the motel last weekend for one night. The room was clean and the shower had hot water with great pressure, unlike the Gulf Coast casino we stayed in the night before. We plan to attend the Bogalusa Blues Festival again next year and will definitely stay here again!

Stayed here several days in July 2015. This is a motel not a hotel, but it is the best place to stay if you need a room in Bogalusa. The room rate is great, there is a microwave, fridge, coffee and coffee maker in room, also multiple cable channels including several movie channels. The is also free wifi. Rooms were...
