Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We have stayed twice at this lovely quiet peaceful caravan park. The park is situated back from the main road so there is very little road noise. The pad lawn sites are shady and back onto Claymore wines, which is just a short walk around the corner. Bathrooms are older and very clean. The owners are relatively new and in the process of upgrading the park. They are very welcoming and friendly. We received a text message on the day we were due to arrive welcoming us and wishing us a safe drive.

We highly recommend this park. Perfectly neat and tidy, great communal facilities and nice lawn areas for camping. Small scale - and with a very hospitable host, full of great recommendations for exploring the beautiful Clare Valley. Definitely worth a visit.

Absolutely stunning park. Grounds are well kept. When we arrived greeted by Michael who took the time to show us the area on a map and the must dos which was very helpful. We had booked for two night and extended a night as there was so much to explore. Pet friendly was also an added bonus.

We stayed for 4 nights on a powered site for the New Year, we were greeted by Michael, one of the owners who took the time to give his recommendations for some wineries and also explained about the courtesy bus ran by the Sevenhill Hotel, a fantastic service. The park is very small which for us is what we like. The young owners are doing a smashing job of renovating the park. The park is very neat and tidy and the gardens are lovely. It did get very busy towards the end of our stay but the park remained quiet and peaceful.

What a beautiful place to stay! Michael and Hayley are so friendly and welcoming. The park was quiet, beautifully maintained and close to several lovely wineries. On arrival, Michael told us all about the area and gave some great suggestions on things to do and see with our children. We really enjoyed our stay on a powered site.

Very small 1 bedroom cabin for $150 a night then then expects to charge customers an extra $45 a night if you want to trickle charge an electric car, great example of profits before environment, well done mate, profits before environment, wake up you dinosaur.

Response from Clare Valley Caravan Park, Owner at Clare Valley Caravan Park
Responded 12 Nov 2023
Hi David, we would suggest in future booking your own accommodation. Perhaps an Airbnb as appose to a studio cabin in a Caravan Park – of course the price for an Airbnb far exceeds the cost of a Caravan Park stay. It was a shame that on this occasion you were not the guest that had made the booking to stay in our studio cabin for these 2 nights as part of the SA Power Networks group booking and were simply given the cabin details by a colleague that couldn’t make it. Our cabin and park details are available on our website and our terms and conditions are clear when booking and staying in our Park. As for the electric car charge, in future, ask. You do not have the right to simply plug your electric car into private property wherever you go. You were caught and you were upset about it. An additional site fee charge to charge an electric vehicle is common for Caravan Parks across Australia irrespective of their electricity supply charge rates. Thankyou for your comments and thankyou for leaving used, unwashed red wine glasses upside down in our cabinetry.
