My family and I had the privilege of spending five nights at Sanctoo in October 2024, and it was hands down one of the best holidays we've had in a long time! From the friendly staff, amazing amenities, and great infrastructure - we couldn't have asked for anything better.
While this place is relatively secluded, it is still close by to Denpasar and nearby areas. We were initially concerned that this would limit our ability to move around, but we didn't have to!
We booked one of the family villas, which was amazing. The photos on the website didn't do it justice - which was quite rare as we often get there disappointed with what we got.
We started our days with a sumptuous breakfast by the pool and nearby the Cassowaries, a highlight in our children's day as they enjoyed their meals and were entertained by the two wonderful birds nearby. Great range of food available, although I wished that there were more Balinese cuisine available. Staff were attentive to our needs, and this was the perfect start to our day.
Visiting the zoo through the daily inclusions were simply amazing. This enabled us to spread our visit across a few days - perfect for when the weather gets too hot, or when travelling with kids.
We had a choice with our inclusions to either use it for lunch or dinners, and we chose to eat out for lunch through Grab or Gojek, or dined at the Zoo.
Perfect afternoons by the pool, great massage at the Spa, and ended our nights with wonderful dinners at the restaurant.
We booked a day's tour through the front desk, who assigned us a great driver. While we didn't do the recommended tours and the guided trek because of the young kids in tow, we'd probably do it.
What a wonderful holiday, and we can't wait to spend more time at Sanctoo the next time we visit Bali. Thank you once again to the team at Sanctoo for a wonderful stay!

We stayed at a ground level room of the resort. The pool is very nice and not very frequented during the afternoons as the (mostly Asian) guests leave for daily excursions. Staff is very friendly and helpful in all matters.
Our package included breakfast and free admission to the Bali Zoo which is adjacent to the hotel and can be reached within a few steps.
The price level for restaurant and services is average. Breakfast is okay in variety and quality of the food but leaves room for improvement. Scooters can be rented through the reception desk.
Rooms are spacious, nice, modern and clean. A second room key requires a deposit of 50,000 IDR.
The resort is strictly non-smoking which applies to the balconies and terraces of the suites as well.
The location of the Sanctoo is very remote apart from the zoo and it takes roughly 25mins to go to Ubud by taxi or grab.
I recommend this place for all zoo fans and those who seek a quiet retreat in some distance to the very crowded and touristic neighborhoods of Ubud.

Excellent hotel, staff, facilities. An absolutely beautiful stay from start to finish.
Staff including trainee at restaurant were incredible, helpful and friendly.
The hotel room was stunning; exactly as photos advertise and the small problem we had with broken door handle on last day was fixed immediately - incredibly quick.
The vicinity to the zoo was great for short visits in heat. Pool stunning and food at restaurant was excellent every single meal.
Thank you so much to all the wonderful staff at Sanxtoo. We will be back!!!

The grounds and garden are beautiful and the staff friendly, however the rooms (Villa with private pool) was tired and needs a total revamp. We had no fridge to keep things cold during our stay (5 nights) we were advised of this on this on check in, with staff stating that the fridge looking thing did not keep things cold and to use the fridge in the hotel kitchen (on our last night we realised that the was actually a fridge but the plug did not work). One day our room was not serviced while we were out = returned to breakfast dishes, no water or clean towel (staff were as helpful as they could be, but they did not understand resulting in comical efforts to get each issue addressed separately). We booked through luxury Escapes and the menu wasn't great and food was inconsistent, no pizza available day we tried to order (not on the set menu). A lot of confusion around vouchers and staff not knowing what to do. It is 20-30 mins away from Ubud and rides cost between Rp150000 - 200000. The guided walk is a selling trip, and not suitable fo people with any sort of mobility issues - similarly the villas are a steep but short walk from the main complex. Communication was an issue, but the staff were very friendly and tried to be very helpful. There is a daily shuttle into Uber at 0900 and 5pm (book early as had already left before 9am one day)

We stayed for 4 nights at Santoo Suites and Villas, we were in villa 8. This villa was ideally situated for us, easy walk to the main Cassowary Restaurant, to the day spa and to the reception area. The villa was a little older in decor and style but this did not take away from our experience at all. The bed and pillows were really comfortable, the bathroom was huge, shower magnificent. Our pool was devine and it was also great to hear the lions, elephants and gibbons from the zoo next door. This really added to our overall experience. We were on a luxury escapes package which had so many inclusions and we enjoyed them all. The location of the day spa was really special, near the spot where the elephants come for their mud baths. So special to watch the elephants meandering in that area while waiting for a massage. The massages were out of this world, being near a beautiful waterfall and hearing the water flow in the background during a massage was heavenly. All staff at Sanctoo and the Day Spa were exceptional. A few names to highlight are : Dewi Pebri, Gung Anya, Gangga, Teguh, Aung rai and Tia. During our stay we celebrated my husband's 50th birthday. The staff went above and beyond to make his day very special from breakfast to dinner. We really enjoyed a romantic candlelit dinner to end his birthday celebrations - just WOW a great experience. Food and beverages at the Cassowary restaurant was of a good standard and wide range to choose from. Having unlimited access to the Bali Zoo was another bonus and the highlight was experiencing a feeding session with the meerkats - just amazing. Suggest talking to the Sanctoo staff on check in to get all the good advice about the Bali Zoo and the best times to experience it. There is a mini mart nearby to buy other essentials like extra drinking water etc. Overall a fantastic stay at Sanctoo - thanks to all the staff for looking after us. We hope to be back one day.

My husband and I, with our two teenage children visited Sanctoo Villas for six days of our ten day Bali holiday.
From the moment you walk onto the property boundaries, everyone, from the security guards, to parking attendants, check in staff, cleaners and housekeeping are so warm and welcoming. They make you feel at ease immediately. They always greet you with a smile and such customer service is hard to find.
One thing to note is that the hotel feels like a retreat. With its lush greenery and contemporary interior, it’s a perfect hideout for someone who just wants to unwind.
Rooms- we had two interconnecting rooms. Both rooms were spacious with beautiful bathrooms. The beds were comfortable and housekeeping did a wonderful job of cleaning the rooms every day. The whole place was spotless!
We had breakfast included and ate in the restaurant for lunch and dinner on a few occasions. It is evident that the chefs are very capable and use ingredients of a high standard. On the first morning, I spoke to the reception staff about how there were limited options for one of my sons and they spoke to the kitchen and got them to make fresh pancakes every morning for him. One thing that disappointed me was the service in the restaurant. Although staff are lovely, sometimes we had to repeat our requests 3/4 times for them to finally bring whatever has been requested. It was surprising because the restaurant was rarely busy. On numerous occasions they completely forgot our orders. For instance, one morning I ordered an omelette. Fifteen minutes later, still no omelette so I reminded the gentleman who assured me that he will sort it for me asap. An hour and half later, still no omelette. Service for other mealtimes is very slow too. You are easily looking up to an hours wait for dinner. We requested a side of French fries as a side one day. These only arrived once we had all eaten our meal and were ready to leave.
Breakfast options are limited. The fresh juices and pastries were very good but very limited warm options.
Despite this, we had an absolutely lovely stay and I am so glad that I got to experience a wonderful Bali stay!

This was a short 4 night break in Bali for 3 of us in the family. The hotel is situated in a quiet part of Bali , Singapadu, about 30 minutes away from the main Ubud town centre. The hotel itself is fairly new, about 3 years old and pretty well maintained and very clean. We stayed in the uppermost 3rd level in the normal suite and it was roomy and airy with space for the extra rollaway for my daughter. Water pressure was excellent and the balcony gave us good views over the surrounding greenery and pool and made the room breezy. There was in room coffee and tea and complimentary bottled water and one round of canned soft drinks in the minibar. Room amenities were great in terms of toiletries with the usual toothpaste and toothbrushes and also shaving kits, combs and bedroom slippers. The bed was very comfortable although the pillows were a little too high for my short neck! Foodwise, there was only the Sanctoo Restaurant for all meals and the breakfast was similar daily with an omelette station. We wanted pancakes one morning for a change and they were very kind to make them for us. Food in the restaurant for dinner was average for the dinners we had for our half board package , and we also tried the a la carte items which were slightly better. The cocktails were good though and there are mocktails available for those so inclined. Wine wise there was only the local Hatten red or white available. The zoo was literally adjacent to the hotel and was unexpectedly good, having come from Singapore where our local zoological gardens are also excellent . The animals were clean and well fed and we went on the elephant ride which was interesting as it included a wade thro the water before ending. There were also multiple food options in the zoo and this made it convenient for us to stop anytime for a meal or snack. There were also additional food options a couple of hundred metres out of the main entrance, at the nearby village and the Mula Rasa bistro was good with its mix of local and western choices. There is also an on-site spa in the hotel that we patronised twice for massages, scub and a facial and it was extremely relaxing with the sounds of the waterfall as the treatments were administered. What really made the trip extra special and relaxing were the staff, from Gede who met us at the airport and sent us there on departure, Agus who gave us a lift to Ubud central, the reception and restaurant staff , housekeeping, they were all very helpful and genuinely friendly and made us feel welcome. Sanctoo is definitely worth a stay in Bali, and is highly recommended , even for a few days as part of a multi-itinerary Bali holiday.

From the second we walked into Sanctoo, we were greeted with smiles and warm welcomes from the reception staff. We were given fresh towels for our hands which was lovely after a long flight. We were taken to our villa via cart and the lovely lady brought our bags inside although we insisted she did not have to. Our villa was incredible, the bed was huge and so luxurious and comfortable. The bathroom was amazing, the bathtub was incredible !!! Our private villa pool was also amazing! Housekeeping and garden maintenance was 100% on point with the greatest attention to detail taken to maintain our week stay. The cassowary restaurant was outstanding, the staff were so lovely and friendly and accommodating, the food and cocktails were delicious and we loved every second. We sampled everything off the menu, food and cocktails included and we loved everything!! The buffet breakfast was also delicious, and even after 7 days of breakfast at the cassowary restaurant we couldn’t get enough! The spa was so nice, we enjoyed the refreshing ginger tea and our treatment was the best, the staff were friendly, kind and welcoming and made our treatment so very pleasant and enjoyable. Overall the amazing hospitality from the staff was a stand out feature for us from reception, to restaurant, to room service, to house keeping to garden maintenance we can not thank you all enough for such a beautiful week at Sanctoo, If anyone is reading this and thinking of staying at Sanctoo this is your sign to book in your holiday now!!! You will not be disappointed!! It’s also worth noting - we feel as though we should have been paying more for what we got overall from Sanctoo! Thank you again for a beautiful holiday and we will definitely be back!!!

Hotel located 11km from Ubud and a little far from everything, only one small restaurant about 5 minutes walk away. Charming staff, large room, very good bedding. The swimming pool is central, with only 6 deckchairs around. Breakfast is mainly for an Asian clientele, the European side is sparsely provided or with poor quality products. The restaurant serves dishes that are excessively spicy and very expensive compared to local restaurants… we went there twice, but I don't recommend it. There is a shuttle to Ubud once a day, very practical - departure from the hotel at 9 a.m., return at 6 p.m. We tested the Spa, we were very disappointed with our massage - back and neck - performed sitting at the entrance to the Spa, without privacy, on our clothes, for an exorbitant price compared to what we find in Ubud. There is a zoo, we didn't go there.

When we arrived we were treated to very friendly staff service. Apart from that, the price of the room offered is worth it with a spacious bedroom, free access to the zoo, a fairly large swimming pool, breakfast which is definitely delicious. suitable for refreshing with family.

Sorry, did not see this earlier.
Yes, everything on ground level like pool, restaurant etc is flat. Lift up to rooms. Walk in shower. So yes, I would say fully accessible.
There are more places to choose from in the Singapadu area.
