We visited this gorgeous park for the first time. It is an absolutely beautiful, well-maintained park. There is a paved 2-1/2 mile bike hiking trail and several other more rustic hiking trails. We took the Pete's Creek 1.2 mile trail. It is unimproved and could be challenging for less mobile individuals. It is a very enjoyable hike. The park offers... More

We stay in the lodge or camping when we come for the yardsale. The rooms are alright. The TV suck I think they have cable TV no good. Restaurant pretty good Friday they have frog legs and catfish all you can eat. And is good. Love the staff especially the cashier.

Last minute decision to rent a pontoon for a day while camping at the narrows. State doc was the only place with one availabe so we reserved it. Well then I fell and was severely injured and we could not for fit our reservation without paying over half of the daily rental fee...(and they would have rented it all day... More

Stayed one night in the "lodge"....nothing like the rooms shown on the website. This one is small, dark and dirty. Rooms are barely cleaned or maintained. Tub was dirty, with hair and mold around the tub, the fan sounded like a 727 and even the bathroom door wouldn't close..dragged on the dirty tile floor (had footprints that looked like they... More

We camped here over labor day weekend 2016 and met family who stayed at the resort. we were at site 79A. site was nice being towards the end of the loop as it was more quite...but the grade of the entire loop made it hard to find level ground for anything, including sitting on camp chairs, playing games, etc.. The... More

The area is beautiful. We rented several rooms for a family reunion. I have mixed reviews. The park is beautiful. There are things to see and do. It's great for group gatherings. The rooms are in need of refreshing, overpriced due to lack of service. My husband had to track down fresh towels. I think our room was serviced once.... More

Rooms were average and slightly outdated. No elevator if have rooms upstairs. View of the lake from the room was spectacular. Front desk staff was somewhat friendly. Lobby clean. Have buffet options. Meeting room smelled like campfire smoke.

We decided to try BRSP for a quick weekend getaway. We saw for ourselves what others had recommended to us. We stayed at the campground. One negative comment regarding the Wi-Fi available. Although it was a little out of the way from Glasgow, we found the campground park nestled in wooded area. Restaurant was excellent, the servers were awesome. Everyone... More

Wife and I decided to get away for a long weekend and for no particular reason picked Barren River. The stay was pleasant and relaxing but not without issues. Check in was an experience. Got there a little early and was told to come back in 45 minutes, no problem. Returned and was told they had a power outage and... More
