Stayed for one night in the Cleveland room on the first leg of a tour of the Bourbon trail. Could not have asked for a better B&B. The rooms, common and private, are gorgeously decorated and immaculately kept. The hospitality from Genny, the innkeeper, was warm and welcoming- from the afternoon cookies to the delicious breakfast. The neighborhood is beautiful... More

We stayed there last night in the Carnegie room upstairs. Nice room with a two person jetted tub. The breakfast was excellent. They keep the fridge stocked with soft drinks bottled water and wine. The Italian restaurant one block away, Amici, had and excellent pasta dish with a very small anchovies and sardines..trust me.. This was not fishy at all.... More

The DuPont manor is beautiful yet felt very comfortable. Our Inn keeper Genny, was fantastic, she made our stay for our 30th Anniversary very special. The house is both historical and beautiful. Breakfast both mornings was delicious, and our room was lovely. I would highly recommend the DuPont Manor and will be visiting there again soon.

The owners of the DuPont Mansion think of everything you need before you even know you need it (except they could use extra towel hooks in the Edison Room bathroom which I am sure they will install as soon as they read this review). Their inn is a personal place that provides excellent quality at a fair price. The style... More

The innkeeper will definitely make sure your trip is great! She fixed a situation that arose and we had a wonderful trip to Louisville with the resolution. You will be taken care of for anything that may come about.

This was an excellent stay for the price. The home is beautifully furnished and little touches of southern hospitality greet you at every corner. There are homemade cookies waiting out for you, Keurigs with coffee and tea available 24/7, a refrigerator full of cold drinks, and best of all, bottles of bourbon and carafes of wine in the parlors for sharing.... Nice interior, bedrooms (DuPont room), bath. Excellent breakfast and on-site hostess. Walkable neighborhood with incredible mansions now in decline/restoration (in daytime) - seems to border a rather rough neighborhood. Next door is a vacant lot. Owner is not on site. We had a true family emergency and had to delay our arrival one week (with a two day notice). She... More

We have just returned to our home in Texas and are full of memories of beautiful Kentucky. One of the loveliest memories is of Dupont Mansion B&B. We had imagined what this choice would be like. This B&B in actuality was even grander than we had hoped for. Very pleasantly refreshing and exceptionally clean. Our hosts were very accommodating and... More

We stayed two nights in the Edison Room in this beautifully-restored and tastefully-decorated mansion in the Old Louisville neighborhood near Central Park. The innkeeper Genny made us feel welcome and was a wealth of information about the house and Louisville. In Genny’s absence, owner Herb stepped in to provide another delicious breakfast and tell us more about the house restoration.... More

We concluded our tour of the Bourbon Trail with a night in Louisville at the Dupont Mansion. What a lovely and hospitable home. There isn't any space in the home that looks tired, dusty or neglected. It's sparkly. We were in the Alcott Room on the third floor. The bedding was delightful. The private bathroom was huge. The extra pillows,... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The DuPont Mansion B&B is an historic treasure with modern amenities. The tall ceilings, ornate fireplaces and carved woodwork look and feel like the circa 1889 Victorian Mansion that it is. Yet the high speed free WiFi throughout the Mansion, flat screen TVs in all guest rooms and Jacuzzi tubs in every bath (two are double) provide luxury beyond anything imagined over a century ago. ... more   less
