I recently stayed at Alfot East for 5 nights and could not be happier with the stay. We had 9 different rooms over the course of 5-6 days and everyone said they were very pleased with the room, staff, cleanliness, etc. Without question the Janel and her team are top notch! The Bar Manager is one of the best, she definitely adds value to the hotel. We will be back for sure!

I stayed at the aloft East hotel for five nights. I could not be more pleased with the hotel, the staff, the cleanliness and the overall experience. Every time I stay at an aloft hotel I am pleasantly happy that I chose that property. I have stayed at a few other of their locations throughout the country and have never been disappointed. I specifically choose them because of the ability to bring my dogs. But if I did not have my dogs traveling with me I still 100% I would stay at their property. They are modern and well kept. I highly recommend staying at this property.

My team had a big project in Louisville and we decided to stay at the Aloft East. Let me start by saying the Hotel was Spotless. The Amenities offered are top notch. However, the main reason I am writing this, is because of the Staff. I travel for business frequently, and have rarely experienced the kindness, and willingness to make sure our stay was perfect. Everyone I encountered was professional, friendly, and provided world class customer service. They have earned a loyal customer. Whenever I have to be in Louisville in the future, I will only stay at the Aloft East.

When my girlfriend asked me to join her at the Aloft East in Louisville, Ky, I immediately accepted. I’ve been building my freelance portfolio and reviews for hotels and restaurants have been imperative in making that happen. I use a room inspection template itemizing the room's layout, what’s liked, what can be improved, staff accessibility, etc. She had booked five days, which gave me ample time to complete my task at hand. The standard room is tiny and how they’ve decorated doesn’t utilize the space for any extra legroom. If traveling with anyone who overpacks, you may want to consider going elsewhere. I, myself was with a friend that packed as if she were staying a month. I discovered there were only two drawers & maybe six hangers. I opted to leave my clothes in my suitcase. The suitcase I tripped over several times because there’s not enough space under the bed to get it out of the way. The biggest disappointment up to that point was the fact there wasn’t a tub. When I stay in a nice hotel I look forward to a glass of Riesling while decompressing in a hot bath. The bathroom barely had the space for the shower, much less a full-sized bathtub. During our stay, two incidents could have easily been grounds for a legitimate lawsuit. They both happened on the same day. The first occurred when the lampshade on the desk melted due to the heat from the bulb. The share looked as if it were made of runner or silicone. Which I found odd, but hey, I don't make lampshades not am I educated in what they should or shouldn't be made from. Honestly, I thought it was a quirky decorative choice and thought nothing else of it. My friend is an esthetician and had a styrofoam head wearing a synthetic hair wig only inches from the rubber goo that had once been an intact shade of this lamp. On day two we awoke from a nap to this melting goo mere inches from the head and wig. Had we not woke when we did, it's possible that hair from the wig could have caught fire. Fire! I don't feel it necessary to explain what tragedy that would have entailed. The second incident happened with the monstrosity of the bathroom door. Now, this door was easily 8.5-9ft tall. And as solid as a brick wall. It was attached to a track on both the top and bottom, allowing the guest to slide it open or slide it closed. One morning while I was out, my friend had gone into the bathroom and closed the door. Somehow the wheel that enables the door to slide on the track had come unattached, transferring the weight of this heavy thing and lodging the door onto the bottom track. Neither of us could budge it. She remained trapped in that bathroom for several hours. When I notified the front desk, the general manager immediately came to assist, bringing herself and another staff member. Including myself, three females attempted for about thirty minutes to lift this door enough to slide it open, but with zero success. Had it been me trapped in that Cracker Jack box of a space, I’d have been climbing the walls and ready to go Ferrell on whomever I saw first after getting set free. Thankfully my friend found her zen and remained calm. The gm left the room for a short period and returned with two good Samaritans. The gentlemen were able to lift the door’s weight, allowing the door to slide open and freeing my friend. Now, I must commend the general manager. She immediately came to our room and proceeded promptly and accordingly to our situation. Within the next forty-eight hours she graciously upgraded us to a suite and comped an additional three days. From the moment we transferred our belongings and got situated, our stay became quite enjoyable. The suite had two full rooms. A King bed and a connecting living area with bathrooms in each room. Unfortunately, still no bathtub. The staff was amazing, the pool was stellar and the equipment and free weights in the fitness room were on point. Will Aloft be one of the first hotels I choose to book with? More than likely, no. Not at all. But their staff deserves a gold star for doing everything in their power to make up for what could have easily been a substantial lawsuit or even worse.

We wanted to love this place, but didn’t. We had a double “queen” room and it was very small. The rooms are poorly laid out. Our daughter’s bed was just a couple feet from the air conditioner and that made for a miserable night for her. The location is very, very noisy. We brought a box fan to help with noise and my husband wore ear plugs, but motorcycles and interstate noise still awakened him. We had very little water pressure for showers. The room didn’t have a microwave, which was weird. We decided to leave a day early. When we went to check out, we pushed the luggage cart up to the front desk and the clerk (young man with a beard) was curled up in the chair behind the counter with his head down very low. He never moved. There was another lady (guest) standing on the other side of the counter. I thought maybe the clerk was asleep. When I said, “Excuse me, can we check out?” he jumped up and laid his cellphone on the counter. How can you not hear a luggage cart clamor off the elevator behind the desk?? It was weird. I heard the other guest say she’d been waiting to check out too. There’s a sign on the hotel door that states the doors lock at a certain time for the safety of the guests. That made me wonder if we were in a bad part of town. When we were taking our things to the car after checking out, there were two men sitting in a badly banged up car that was backed into a space. They watched our every move. It terrified my daughter. Don’t expect any sort of free breakfast here, because there isn’t one. Not even a grab -n- go breakfast, no free muffins, nothing. Positives- beds were comfy, room seemed clean, and there was no charge for our small dog.
