Nestled in a picturesque setting, the Embassy Suites By Hilton Lexington/uk Coldstream garners mixed reactions. Guests are charmed by its inviting atmosphere, with a lobby and rooms that exude warmth, despite certain areas appearing timeworn. The spacious and clean accommodations are noted, although some suggest a need for modernization and maintenance. While the complimentary breakfast and happy hour are highlights for many, others find them merely satisfactory. Opinions on service vary, ranging from commendable to sluggish. The unexpected parking fees have left numerous travelers questioning the hotel's overall value.

This is a very nice hotel. The staff is super nice, room was spotless, evening drinks, snacks and breakfast was excellent. The restaurant right next door, Palmers Fresh Grill was outstanding. I highly recommend this hotel for the price and what it includes.

I have used this particular Embassy Suites whenever I need a hotel in the Lexington, Kentucky, area. I have always found it to be hospitable, comfy, quiet and a relaxing place to spend time. However, since visiting last year, I could see areas that need some improvement.

First, let me express the positive aspects which meet a customer's needs. This particular team of Hilton hotels provides a breakfast which includes many choices and this particular location is always one of the best in this area. The evening foods offered at the complimentary meeting could use some improvement. For example, I have commented before I would have a Kentucky ale or beer and bourbon as a choice.

At this visit, I found the housekeeping in halls to be a bit less than normal. My room had a waste can inside a door near refrigerator that was full of garbage. And, the desk in the front room either had something spilled and dried on it or the surface was damaged. I never saw a housekeeping person when I checked in or before leaving. I realize there were not many people staying at the location but the carpet should have been vacuumed.

I have never been on the top floor before at any Embassy Suites, but I do not like that level. The rooms did not seem to be as insulated as people with children came in very late, made noise, enough to wake us. I also will be sure to ask for a room with a bathtub, I do not like showers. Just felt the room had some odor to it and was not to expectations I usually receive.

I hope this was merely a slip because of fewer people staying at the hotel. Also need to warn you that they now charge for parking which considering the location, I think is just another way to get a fee from customer.

Hello Jerry! Thank you for your valuable feedback and review. We are so happy you enjoyed your stay but we apologize for the areas in which we fell short. We will pass along your comments concerning the Evening Reception to the Food and Beverage team and reach out to the Housekeeping team concerning your housekeeping feedback as cleanliness issues are not our standard. We look forward to welcoming you back to our hotel and we work to accommodate your lower level request! We hope to see you soon!

We were greeted by the front desk staff with a smile and as a Diamond Member a few goodies in a bag. Upon check in we received our keys and headed right up to our room with no issues. After we settled in we received a text from the front desk clerk making sure we were pleased with our accommodations. Room was great and the location was far enough away that you did not hear any traffic from the expressway or frontal road. Evening reception was good and the breakfast was wonderful. We had a great night sleep and was re-energized for the next day. I would definitely stay here again if/when I am back in the area. Thank you Embassy Suites and Hilton for the wonderful stay!

Recently my wife and I stayed at the Embassy Suites in Lexington, KY. The hotel itself is very nice, and the room appeared to be very clean with their enhanced Covid era cleaning. The room rate was $149/night. However, like a lot of other city hotels, there was an added $24 in state, city, and room tax fees. The other hidden fee that I really didn't appreciate and was not announce initially was a $10.00 per night "Parking Fee." Totally ridiculous!! The self parking is in a large area right outside the main entrance. It's not valet or have any special amenities. What's next? A "Lawn Mowing" fee? An "Elevator Maintenance" fee?
This is shameful that Embassy Suites "hides" this unannounced fee, and doesn't make it part of the room rate. The other portion of the stay that was less than satisfactory was the "complementary" breakfast. The eggs were powdered scrambled. Ugh! I suppose the hotel is abiding by the phrase "something is better than nothing", but in this case, nothing would have been far better. The packaged muffins were terrible, the fruit was bruised and old. If you stay here, skip the breakfast all together and go to McDonalds!

They charge your card without you authorizing the card for a parking fee. Geeez it’s not about the money, it’s ethics. Be up front about what you are doing and tell someone. None of my requests for extra towels or extra pillows for surgery ever arrived in my room before my stay when they plainly assured me they would be there and never arrived once we got in our room. The rate was too high for lack of service. We’ve stayed at the Glo by Best Western and the Avid for $80 a night and highly recommend them. All accommodations were in our room before check in, staff was very upfront with all charges and made sure we authorized them. Embassy was very deceitful. Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere. Beds were very uncomfortable, mold in the shower. It was a nightmare. I’ve complained to both Booking.com and also to the Embassy with no results.

Went to Lexington for a quick getaway and opted to stay at this Embassy Suites. The staff was courteous and very helpful, especially the evening bartender and the lady who made the delicious omelettes in the morning. The room could use some freshening but that isn't a factor for us. What is a factor is cleanliness and the comfort of the bed. Everything was great. Just a tad disappointed at the $10 a night parking charge. They have a huge open lot and the parking fee feels like a money grab. But would I go back? Yes.

This was by far the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. I can't believe this is even a Hilton. First off, the "reception" they have is a joke. The only food they had was a bowl with 2 little bags of pretzels left in it. At first I thought it was because of Covid, but Breakfast the next morning was a full spread buffet so that couldn't have been the case. We "reserved" a time for our kids to swim at the pool. Of course they are operating at reduced capacity which we thought was great, because we of course wanted the security that there would be a little less exposure to so many people, if nothing else. But oh man, were we wrong. There were 20 PEOPLE in the pool at one point. Which would be busy by pre-covid standards, let alone with the Covid-19 precautions. It was absolutely ridiculous and we left. Our room made us SO uncomfortable. Everything was caked with dust. The corners of the floor had grime caked around it. The curtains were AWFUL!!! Covered in disgusting stains. I couldn't believe it. The drawer in the besides table had little droppings of something in it, and hair that was not ours...Then the bathroom. You could've gotten a nicer, cleaner bathroom at a roadside motel. Everything was caked with grime again. The shower and floors were dirty and sticky. The ceiling had water stains and peeling paint. There was no bathtub drain stopper so my kids couldn't take their bath (although with how dirty the place was, I wouldn't have let them anyway.) The bathroom door looked like someone beat it with a hammer, it was chipped, dented and scuffed. The door to our room wouldnt hardly close, you had to put some real force behind it.. once you walked in, there was no way to get the curtain to totally cover the window to the inside of the hotel, making us uneasy. Not only was there definitely not any extra cleaning being done due to covid, there was barely any cleaning done at all. We felt dirty and couldn't wait to get out the next morning. We all felt like we need to shower after staying here. Please, save yourself the trouble and stay somewhere, anywhere else!!

I apologize your stay was not the great experience our guests are used to. We monitor the pool for a capacity of 16 or less and have it by reservation only. We often go in there and request people to leave and come back, I apologize you experienced extra families in that area. Our rooms are cleaned with Lysol and peroxide spray and we do our best to leave rooms vacant for 48 hours between stays. We opened our bar back up five days a week and offer the evening reception from 5pm-6:30pm. I apologize the snacks were not refilled quickly, we had an increase of guests during the spring break travel and did our best to offer our guests a great experience. I hope on your next trip to Lexington we can have you stay with us again and offer your the award winning experience our guests are used too. We truly appreciate all the feedback and will be following up with all departments so we can improve.

We enjoyed our recent stay here. When we arrived, they were having a fire alarm evacuation, so we had to wait in our car to check in. Soon, the fire trucks arrived and everyone stood around outside. Finally, we were able to check-in and go to our room. Actually, we had selected our room on the Hilton app on my phone prior to entering the building. Some of the functions on the app worked, but not all, so I would call it a work in progress and not fully functional. We liked our room, but this facility is showing signs of badly needed maintenance, especially for the price you are paying (our room for a Thursday night was around $200). Our shower was badly in the need of re-caulking. Breakfast the next morning was included, and we enjoyed the nice, wide variety. Due to the pandemic, somewhat still ongoing to some extent, most of the utensils, cups, plates, etc., where disposable. Same with condiments, being served in individual packets of each. I would say that due to the maintenance issues, we would opt for a different Hilton or Marriott in Lexington on our next visit.

My reviews are based on my perception. However, my perception as a customer is what should matter most to a provider. I try to answer the questions I have when searching for a place. I am also extremely critical when it comes to cleanliness and level of service.

I stayed here for a conference that was being held at the hotel for a few days. During a conference, I always like to stay onsite, if possible. I am also brand-loyal with Hilton, and especially Embassy Suites, when I have a choice of where to stay for business. That being said, this hotel was a huge disappointment when compared to other Embassy Suites. In fact, it was probably near the bottom of the list of the hotels I have stayed. This is obviously an older hotel that needs some attention. I was actually shocked at the level of condition this Embassy Suites is compared to others of the same name.

Pros: Front desk people were very nice.

Cons: First and foremost was cleanliness. The hallway to the room had garbage on the floor, that in three days, was never picked up. The room was very bad. Thick dust on ledges in the bathroom, bedroom, and service bar area. In the bathroom there was hair in the bathtub and on the floor. Wearing white socks will show you just how dirty the carpet really is throughout the room. The furniture was just as bad. The table was loose and rickety. It was the same in my coworkers room. There is no closet, only a hutch-like piece of furniture that had space to hang clothes. The back was pushed out and hanging from one side. There was no safe in the room, which is a huge negative for me. The bathroom is small and the door must be closed in order to take a shower and get out. And the door. The doors on the bathrooms are the thinnest and cheapest I have ever seen. Not that this matters to me, but no water bottles were offered at the front desk or in the room for being a Hilton Honors member.

Unfortunately, if this particular conference is once again held at this hotel, I will be staying elsewhere. I can get around the furniture issues, but not the cleanliness issues.

We stayed at the Embassy Suites Lexington and it was an absolute nightmare. We booked the room several months ago and knew it must be a busy weekend due to the inflated room rates and limited room availability in the area. At the time of our booking other hotels had availability, but we chose the Embassy Suites for their large rooms with mini kitchens since we would be there over a week. After we arrived we found out there was a week long Irish Setter dog show that was going to be hosted at the hotel. There were large tents set up on the grass next to the property and half of the parking lot was blocked off for reserved dog show parking which majorly limited our parking options. We shocked when were told by staff that 210 of the 230 rooms at the Embassy Suites Lexington were with the dog show. Most of the owners had 2+ dogs which means the hotel was completely overrun with large dogs. There had to be somewhere between 400-600 dogs at the hotel at one time! The hallways and elevators smelled like wet and dirty dogs. I can’t even imagine how disgusting the rooms were after being filled with this many dogs for a week. Every single morning we were woken up at 4, 5, and 6 am with dogs barking, howling, and whining. The hotel acknowledged the issues and attempted to manage the early morning noise, but they were also disturbingly apathetic about the whole situation. They were unable to move our room without putting us in another room that would be surrounded by other dogs. To make matters worse, every single hotel and Airbnb in the Lexington area was sold out and we were stuck. I called Hilton Corporate and they admitted all the excessive dogs and noise were an issue and apologized, however unable to help us figure out a solution or find us a different hotel in the area. We ended up flying home a day early just to get out of there. I am so frustrated and disappointed at how the situation was handled by the hotel and also recognized by Hilton Corporate. Why would they allow other guests to book rooms when they are hosting such a large event with animals at the same time? If we would have known this was happening we would have booked a different hotel when they had availability. In the very least the hotel could have put the guests who were not with the dog show in a isolated block of the hotel to minimize the noise and smell. They did adjust our room rate which was really just a more standard rate for this hotel, but day after day of lack of sleep and accountability by Hilton, it’s just not enough.

There is no spa as such but it does have an excellent pool and weight room. Across the road Newtown Pike, there is a Marriott that does have a spa. I would recommend staying at Embassy Suites, am sure the price is much better, and checking to book at the spa.
