I have been going to ASP for over 40 years and it's such a joy to be able to now bring my family. We have rented the cabins, stayed in the campground, hiked the trails, fished the lakes, taken family photos on the gorgeous grounds,...More
We camped her for one night after four glorious days at Mammoth Cave. Our reservation was for three nights, but decided to leave after a few hours at the campground. What a mess.

I haven't been camping in a number of years, so I don't have a lot to compare this to, but we just got back from a short stay at the John James Audubon State Park in Henderson KY, a delightful place. Camp grounds (clean, neat...More

We have stayed in the 1 bedroom cabins and also the 2. The 1 bedroom cabins all have a fireplace but the 2 bedroom does not. All cabins have tvs, 1 in living room and 1 in each bedroom. If I remember correctly, they have basic cable. The cabins do have wifi now, which is a recent addition.
We actually prefer the 2 bedroom cabin simply due to the size, it's quite a bit larger than the 1's. Each bedroom has 2 queen beds. There are 2 full bathrooms, 1 off the kitchen and the other in a bedroom. The living room is large with a full couch and chair and open with the kitchen, a large table for 6 sits in the middle. The kitchen has a cooktop but not an oven, so we take a crockpot for meals to cook while we're out doing stuff in the park. There's also a large covered deck with another table and chairs off the back of the cabin. Although the park has plenty to do, as well as going out into the community of Henderson, we plan ahead for rain and evenings by bringing a DVD player to hook up in the living room for family movies and we bring a gaming system for the 2nd bedroom. Be sure to find out what events are going on around the park and campground during your stay as well as Downtown Henderson which offers lots of festivals and activities all throughout the summer. Let me know if you have any other questions, I'll be more than happy to help!
