I came down here for work and was going to end up some where nearby. After checking some prices for rooms at other motels, the photos for this particular motel looked good. Also breakfast was included for an extra $1, so I took advantage of that.
The motel itself is quite nice (although some furniture is a bit worn in the room). There's a restaurant on-site with bar, although the menu items are on the pricey side. There are some options to eat only a short walk away as well.
The Highett area itself was pretty disappointing. Being down the southern end I thought it might be a bit coastal but it's a very run down area. The only good thing to do there is dodge the trains that come by about every 5 minutes 😂. I wouldn't bother going to the RSL unless you want to donate money. It is only short walk, however in a dimly lit street so take your chances if walking.

We stayed for 8 nights as we were attending a sporting event nearby at Black Rock. 10 mins drive away. The staff took care of our requests for a microwave oven in the room, ice tray ( no ice available in the whole hotel on our first night, even at the bar) and our room servicing was not done on one day, and a bit rough and ready on another day.
Really cheap Happy Hour ! Only a 15 min walk to Westfield shopping centre and more shops on Highett Rd no too far away. Parking was adequate but the entrance has a height restriction of 2.5m, although there is a side entry with a gate that the staff are happy to open if required ( we had a boat on our roof).
Laundry facilities available at the rear of the property that opens at 9am ( I am unsure why they have restricted hours of use though. Washing line also nearby the laundry. $3.00 per use for both washer (1 x $2.00 -1 x $1.00 coins, runs for 30mins) and Dryer ( 3 x $1.00 coins required, runs for about 45 mins).
The place generally needs a spruce up, especially around the pool area as we would have liked to have used the BBQ but definitely was not accessible.
Staff were very helpful and friendly. Overall our stay was good, comfortable.
Really liked the location.

I recently spend a couple of nights at this hotel while touring through Victoria. Even though the hotel is on the highway, the rooms are well positioned back from the road and I found it quiet. My room was a good size, with plenty of space and natural light during the day. Reception staff were very welcoming. There are also a range of restaurants in the main street around the corner, so there was plenty of choice for dinner in the evening.

Booked and paid for 4 nights including 4 breakfasts. Whilst the Nepean Highway and railway line noises are fairly well suppressed the noise inside the courtyard destroys the possibility of a decent nights sleep. Loud cars arriving and leaving at all hours, guests talking loudly and thumping up and down stairs. The outside laneway lights are not properly shielded from the rooms either. Breakfast is of average quality, not restocked half the time and cold in the main despite being in bain maries. On Tuesday we rang to book the restaurant which was confirmed. Arrived at 7-00 pm to be told restaurant was not open on Tuesdays. Claimed they tried to contact us which was rubbish as there was no messages on either our room phone or my wife's mobile which they had. We resorted to Uber eats and had to go and ask for cutlery as the room did not have any. The shower is terrible and fluctuates in temperature between scalding and freezing. When we went to check out the girl at reception told me we owed another $38, could not tell what it was for as I told her we had paid UP FRONT for room and breakfasts. Said she would consult with her manager, told her I had better not see a $38 charge on my card. She giggled when I told her our stay had been anything but pleasant, pretty much sums it up at this place. We have to come back to the area on the weekend and have booked the Quest, will never return to this joke of a hotel.

Sadly, the photos make the hotel look better than it really is. Its old and my room especially was in need of an update. I am a very easy traveller and do not require or request much except safe which it was, quiet which it was, clean which it was not. Furnishings were dusty and the carpet had holes in it. On the bright side if they have the $15 buffet breakfast that's great value except it only opens at 7.00 am.
Would I stay there again probably not as it was a last option and I dont think its value for the money for the room quality.

While the room was fine, and the front desk help was great, it was all overshadowed by the construction work in some of the rooms. With the work starting at 7am on the dot, there was absolutely no chance of having a sleep in. Loudest hotel I've ever stayed in. Also the car parking was appalling with very few available spots, the carpark was taken up by a giant skip bin and some were just taken up with the workers wheel barrows and other tools, even after they went home for the day. When you did get a spot they were so narrow I was worried my rental car would get damaged.
Breakfast was quite good with plenty of choices, alas during one breakfast, they decided to do some jack hammering on the floor above the dining room, making it impossible to hear what anyone was saying.
Over all it made for this stay to be a great disappointment.

This hotel was an excellent choice for our visit to family. We were able to walk everywhere, including Westfield Southlands just 1 km down the road. We found the rooms to be spacious and well stocked. Plenty of on-site parking if needed. (A microwave would be an added bonus to consider) We appreciated having an upstairs room for our 9 day stay as we'd requested. Thankyou.

We were a group of 4 family members having a 5 night stay in a 3 bedroom apartment. Bedrooms were of an ample size and there was a large bathroom however the ensuite was a tiny bit small. There was nowhere to place your toiletries other than 1 shelf above the basin. Not a deal breaker at all though. Beds were comfortable. Water was hot. Airconditioning in the living areas was more than sufficient and there was an extra unit in the main bedroom. The size of the lounge/dining/kitchen area was more than ample. Netflix was a bonus as was free Wi-Fi. Can highly recommend. Close to restaurants, cafes, supermarkets, bottle shops, etc. We will definitely stay again.

We stay here regularly on business. We can highly recommend this Best Western Buckingham Motel. The grounds are immaculately clean, the hedges around the gardens are manicured, the rooms are clean as well, and the Restaurant food / Bar is outstanding. The quality of meals in the Restaurant are first class, so too are the staff. Access to this motel via a service road next to the busy Nepean Highway is also made incredibly easy. Great place, cannot wait to return. Mark.

Stayed recently in a two bedroom apartment. Very helpful when we asked if we could get foxtel set up in our room - it isn't usually in the room type we had but they were very obliging. The sent someone to our room and arranged connection so that we could watch the football!!
