Surprisingly good food and wonderful friendly service to be had here. We drove by and with the 'for sale' sign, the place looked forlorn and closed. However, our B&B suggested it as a nearby-place to eat since we were running late for dinner (what can we say - we spent too much time enjoying the nearby Skerwink hiking trail!) so... More

This property is for sale and has NO updating. I found it kind of "creepy". It is in a rural area and is a good location for exploring the Bonavista Peninsula. The shower is good, the beds are marginally acceptable, the carpeting old and dingy. WiFi reception depends on which room you're in. During my stay the tap water was... More

Delicious home cooked meals and friendly staff. Menu has lots of choices. Close to the Coaker Foundation, Trinity plays and Bonavista historic sites. You may see puffins in Elliston, icebergs and whales along the peninsula!

Arrived for supper at this inn and restaurant. They had a dinner party there for the local power company but informed us that they would still fit us in. We had prime rib and it was very good. The price was decent and the portions were on par as well.

Stopped here for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised. In an area where everything is now kambucta with kale and bean sprouts for $45, you can still get a solid, 2-egg breakfast here for about $7. It wasn't overly greasy and it wasn't bland, it was a very good breakfast. I would return and I wish there was a comparable place... More

This is a basic motel. The rooms are clean, the restaurant serves filling simple food made with good ingredients (I was shocked that their cheesecake was out of this world, fluffy and covered in local berry compote--not what you would expect at a place like this!). It's not a cozy b and b or an upscale hotel but for what... More

Stayed for one night - 4 seniors sharing a 2 queen bed split room - separate sleeping areas and separate bathrooms - Room 121 - with a common washsink. Firm, comfortable beds and quiet. Friendly staff and a nice breakfast at the attached restaurant. Close to Elliston puffins and Cape Bonavista puffins and whales. Highly recommend!!!

We ate in the restaurant. We had a delicious breakfast at Captain Blackmores B&B, a great lunch at Neil's Yard in Bonavista, so we were looking for something small and simple for dinner. There is a restaurant in the motel complex and we ate there. Service was friendly but very slow. Clam chowder was low on clams. French onion soup... More

I stayed here with a group of hikers and came in with reasonable expectations given the area. And for the most part, I wasn't surprised. Thin carpet. Thin blanket. Thin towels. Thin pillows. No way to adjust the temperature. To get wi-fi you had to sit in a small corner near a set of stairs and be prepared for the... More

Cod Fish and Chips and Cod burger were both good. The cod was very tasty. Handy to our stay in Port Union and right on the highway. Good service. Seemed to be popular with locals. Great value for dinner.
