The best part of the stay was Mr. Fred, the bellman at the hotel. He was genuine and caring with a jovial personality. Our room was right outside of the elevator and people are not respectful of the fact that there are rooms there. One night here was plenty for us. Just an older hotel and I couldn't get the...

After many years of attending craft fairs in Berea (started in 1976) I finally had the chance to stay at the Boone Tavern. The rooms are spotless and they have done a great job of making your visit feel true to the history of an original Inn experience. Because I was by myself, I opted not to have dinner in...

Boone Tavern is located in the “center” of town. Next to the action of Berea College. Since the hotel is “historic”, the décor is as you might expect. The reception is exceptionally friendly and organized. And we’re even able to get help with our luggage (we travel with too much stuff). Our room on the second floor (there are only...

Having the door to registration area opened by young college students with smiling faces, is a great beginning to a get-away. Remember to sign up for their points program and then to redeem the points. Everything about our stay was designed to make you feel pampered . The spoon bread served piping hot is a signature dish.

We are very lucky to have wonderful Berea College students working for us. They brighten our day as well. I am so pleased you had such a nice time. Please come back soon!

We enjoyed our comfortable and updated room and spacious sitting room and lounge. The food was the only thing not quite up to par....Really overpriced and over hyped. The dining area was beautiful and serving staff polite and friendly.

My husband and I stayed for one night on our way to Gatlinburg. We've stayed before but it's been several years. This hotel is gorgeous and the service is excellent. We arrived too late for dinner but enjoyed a delicious breakfast the next morning. Berea is a lovely college town and this hotel is the perfect place to stay! Highly...

I stayed here on two different occasions in October 2016; the first time as I was traveling south and I liked it so much that I decided to stay here on my way back. My room the first stay was very nice, and comfortable and spacious, the second stay the room was quite small, but adequate. Beds were comfortable. On...

Room small, uncomfortable and no seating other than bed. Bathroom outdated with no place to set cosmetics. Sure, it's the Boone Tavern but for the price it should meet current hotel standards for comfort and convenience. The Tavern restaurant was nothing special considering the price. Richard Hougen would not have served the cold, flat and dry spoon bread that came...

We were walk-ins on a Sunday night when the hotel was almost full, so we didn't have the best room - tucked away in a corner of the 3rd floor; however, it was perfectly fine. It cost the same as a chain hotel, but has more charm. The room was large and very simply furnished. Old fashioned and basic furniture....

This is a gorgeous, beautifully maintained historic hotel. Room was very comfortable although the lighting was not the greatest. Bed was very comfortable and everyone was friendly and helpful. We arrived while there was a wedding reception and another event going on so parking was sparse, but we could park at the church right across the street. Looks like a...
