My husband and I stayed three nights at this hotel, and it was a wonderful experience. Even though this hotel is located right on the main road, it is quiet and peaceful. We have stayed here twice this month. We really like the room we have - very quiet. We have a pet and they do not charge extra for the pet. It is convenient for everything. A bit dated, but that's part of the charm. Quiet and clean. Nice view of the park. Having Kurtz Restaurant on property a plus. Convenient to the Kentucky Bourbon Trail distilleries. If you're not looking for fancy amenities, this place is fine. Remember to bring your own shampoo and hair drier.

Yes, somewhat shabby and needs updated mattresses and furniture and yes, there was a musty but not moldy smell some of the time. But Bardstown Parkview was clean and quiet and had a wonderful view of the Stephen Foster State Park. The staff was very polite and helpful. Place needs a total remodel and customer service was very poor. Credit card machine not working, they preferred cash. Receipt was like a bus ticket, huh! Taxes or recycling consciousness? We ate grass because the online presentation was like we were in good hands. Rooms were 'ah'right' considering what we paid on a Kentucky Derby day.

This hotel is nice, quiet, simple, and in a great location for the Kentucky Derby. The staff are quite nice and the hotel is not new, but in a great location. The fun started when we first opened the door of the room...musty mildew odor that couldn't be eliminated by an antiquated airconditioner or windows that had been painted shut. We were looking for a place to spend the night but were not impressed with the chains in the area. We gave this a try and found it acceptable. The tv was small but the selection of channels was above average. We had a microwave and refrigerator in the room. It's an older place but well maintained.

Turning up late in Bardstown this place was recommended as being "it's clean" and they probably had some rooms. It's a 10 minute walk from the town centre.
