We had a very pleasant and comfortable stay. The biggest surprise was the lack of highway noise in the room despite being right on it. The aircon was quiet too. Bed reasonably comfy (I’m very fussy about beds). It was clean, freshly redecorated and represented very good value for money. 👌

Charming country hotel with friendly service. We had dinner in the restaurant and both chose a chicken dish in cream sauce. It was fantastic, with beautifully balanced flavours and textures. I'd gladly go here again if in the area. They suffered a lot in the floods last year (twice!), and there is some work to be done on the entrance to the rooms but this was trivial compared to how hard they are working to develop the hotel and restaurant. These people and communities deserve our support. But even apart from that, I would go out of my way to eat in their restaurant again. Delicious food with local wine.

Very good dinner. Very welcoming. Great service.
I’d thoroughly recommend the Tavern for dinner. Good menu and great food and service.
Nice atmosphere and welcoming locals and staff, with food available in the comfortable dining area or bar.

We had a pleasurable stay overnight here - couldn't get a room in Echuca and subsequently looked for options in the small quintessentially Australian town 25km south.

The experience was genuine and customer oriented from the phone booking to the checkout with new owner, but forever local Mick who ensured we enjoyed the local wines, their fantastic pizzas and the relaxing vista from the balcony.

Our room , the apartment, was far larger than we required however spotlessly clean, comfortable and quiet given its location above the restaurant.

A drinking hole for locals and guests alike the hotel is a beautiful building, being operated by a locals leading to a great experience.

Highly recommended.

Stayed here overnight in this beautiful old hotel with great local hosts... rooms spotlessly clean and comfortable... wine list is great and Mick was more than happy to let us pursue it by the glass... but the pizzas are amazing - well worth a stop / detour if you find yourself in the area.. had the staff special (highly recommend)

I enjoyed a delicious gourmet Lamb pizza from the Wine Tavern. The ingredients were so fresh and the flavor was incredible. Will definitely be coming back for more. Absolutely delighted to have such fine food and friendly service in a relatively small country town!

The woodfire pizza here was fantastic! Well worth a visit to check out.
We visited for a birthday party and they also have a great space for functions.
Members of the family stayed the night in the B&B. All had a wonderful time!

Stayed here for a couple weeks for work.
The rooms are simple and cosy. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are clean and nicely scented.
Facilities are a little bare-bones in the room (no microwave, no toaster, minimal furniture) but as a stopover hotel, rather than a stay-in, this place is very nice.

We recently stayed for 2 nights at the Rochester Wine tavern B & B . Our room was very comfortable with beautifully fresh linen provided for our comfort . The accommodation was spotlessly clean and our hosts Tanya and Mick could not do more for us! Micks knowledge of the local region and his expertise on local wines was fantastic . The tavern is very inviting and we enjoyed wonderful wood fired pizzas and some great company from the friendly locals.A serious find ....... We will return again! Thanks Tanya and Mick
