We stayed here for one night as we were traveling through Colorado. I read the other reviews and was fairly sure it would be ok but you never know! The front desk clerk was very friendly. The lobby is on the small side with I believe 4 tables/chairs. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was spotless. It was... More

After a very long drive on I-70, we checked a few motels in Hays, KS. All we needed was a bed and shower, so the Econo Lodge worked out just fine. No frills, nothing fancy. Other locations offered pools and such, but we didn't need them anyway, so we opted for the better price half a block farther south of... More

This was convenient to I70. It appears to have minimal upkeep. We had a room upstairs with no elevator. Fortunately we were able to pull out what we needed and leave the rest in the car. The lobby was a small area that shared the breakfast tables. The breakfast was very limited and not really what most would consider a... More

The Econolodge popped up as a deal on Trivago with real positive reviews and now that we have stayed here, I would say that my wife and I agree. It has all your basics with no real flare. But, when you are just passing through, who needs flare. I'd rather save some money and just get what I need. The... More

We stayed here to break a long drive in half. There's not much to this place. It is 2 stories and there is no elevator. The downstairs rooms also have doors out to the parking lot. That may explain why the downstairs rooms cost $10 more. We had a king room on the 2nd floor so, not wanting to leave... More

Thank you for posting your stay review. My apology for my desk not able to explain you properly about downstairs room. Upstairs and downstairs room are priced same. There is no rate difference between upstairs and downstairs. However there is a rate difference between room with one king bed and two queen beds (generally $10 more but it varies season... More

The EconoLodge in Hays was around $72 with aaa membership. Not bad, when you get waffles sausage and the usual breakfast do it yourself setup. The ac was cold, the bathroom was clean. However, I knock the room because it smelled bad. Not real bad but definitely a smoker stunk it up. Would I go back? I'm kind of spoiled... More

We stayed 1 night at the Econo Lodge on our way to Colorado and we would definitely stay there again. We wanted a cheap clean room to just shower and sleep. This was a very good decision. We only stayed here for a one night stop over driving across country. This was a fine hotel for that. All the other hotels were full and this was not our first choice, however, it was clean and quiet. The room had some updates done to it and the bathroom. Front desk attendant was very pleasant. I would stay here again if i was passing through.
