Cant even begin to say how much detail has been thought of even building these cabins without the credit to all the staff. Everyone was outstanding with their service, kindness and sheer warmth. The food was out of this world. All fresh products daily cooked and presented to perfection. The memories will never be forgotten we wished we could have... More

The resort is a group of very luxurous cabins along a crescent shaped bay. We chose to go on as many wildlife walks as we could but you could easily have just spent time by the beach. We were able to see all five of the local lemur species as well as chameleons and the rare leaf tailed gecko. Everyone... More

We stayed for four night here. Food was very good. The trips were excellent and we saw lots of wildlife. Staff are wonderful. Be warned that the Route National 13 is one of the worst roads in Madagascar (and that is difficult, given that all roads are terrible). We gave Mandrare (sister resort) 5 stars but we chose 4 stars... More

The camp lies in a very rural area on the coast. Beautifully appointed rooms with a private deck, hammock and beach. Nice bar and restaurant area though you never eat at the same Place twice in a row. Instead you get a table on the beach, your private deck, picknick etc etc. they really make an effort to please the... More

My husband and I spent 5 long-anticipated nights at Manafiafy Beach and Rainforest Lodge at the end of July. We had just finished leading a group of 12 undergraduates through a month in Madagascar (which was the most amazing professional experience I have ever had) but we were ready for some luxury, rest, and alone time. And as usual, we... More

I traveled with EricfromParis02 and I echo every word he wrote many times over. Starting with the long drive from our previous lodge over very difficult and often muddy, deeply rutted roads, I felt safe and well cared for. For me, the roads were all part of an exciting experience. Our lodge was quite large, very comfortable, and within 25... More

This lodge is so spectacular it is difficult to decide where to begin. We stayed four nights just last week and it will probably forever remain one of the most special places we have ever stayed. Everything contributes to make this place special - the location, the staff, the high quality of the food, the amazing bunglaows, the many different... More

How lucky were we to spend four nights at Mandrare River Camp followed by five nights at Manafiafy ( same owners) and also to be the only guests ( only because June is low season and not the best time to go-weather was mixed). We have nothing but superlatives about these two very different places. We have to start with... More

This is Madagascars best kept secret, a really unique place with the most excellent staff and manager that you could look for. Ended off my 17 days roundtrip in Madagascar with 3 nights at this lovely place, and could not have asked for a better way to end my trip. The fantastic staff (mostly of them are from the local... This unique and beautiful resort will have a place in my heart forever. I had the amazing opportunity to visit May 2 to May 5. I actually tried to change my itinerary so I could stay another day! My friends and I arrived and were met by the manager, Elene and her crew with drinks and a smile. She showed... More
