Charlton 28 is a very special B&B offering comfort and great hospitality in a delightful village nestling in the South Downs National Park. We stayed for only one night but it was the best nights sleep we'd had for ages. We live in a rural location and thought our house was quiet but this was even quieter. The bed was...

Just had to write and say what a beautiful B and B this is. Julie and Trevor are some of the nicest hosts we've come across, nothing is to much trouble and they are genuinely nice people. They only let out 2 rooms so attention to detail is key, breakfast is cooked to order and all produce is locally sourced...

So glad Trevor and Julie could accommodate us. We decided quite late to go away for our wedding anniversary and my husband was searching for a place to stay and happened upon Charlton 28. We had only visited the area once before so decided to give it ago. Well we couldn't have been more happier with our choice. Trevor and...

On arrival, we were greeted with tea in the immaculate garden. That set the tone of our stay. I felt that the hosts took every effort to "go the extra mile" to make our stay as perfect as possible. The room and en suite were spotless, and the breakfast was beautifully presented and cooked from locally sourced ingredients. Everything was...

Our first visit - but hopefully not our last. It was a bit of a last minute organised visit to accommodate a day at Goodwood Festival of Speed. We arrived late in the day so didn't have time to sample the pub food from the village hostelry. However Julie made us coffee and served it with some home made cake...

Couldn't wait to return after our first visit last October. Charlton is a picture-perfect South Downs village, and 28 is right at its heart. Trevor and Julie are genuinely charming people, dedicated to creating the best B & B experience ever. Fabulous comfortable beds, stylish decor, spotlessly clean bathrooms, rural views, and lovely breakfast produced by Trevor with great panache....

Wonderful relaxing and refreshing stay. We could not have been made more welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Everything is spotless, comfy bed, breakfast was perfect and Trevor and Julie treated us like royalty. What can be better than sitting in the sun in a beautiful garden in the Sussex hills, sipping champagne and enjoying home made cake, with...

This was our second visit. Julie and Trevor are exceptional hosts. Impeccable rooms, a fantastic breakfast and they could not do enough to help us in every way. Trevor even drove me 10 miles so that I could do a walk on the South Downs Way. The rooms aren't large and have showers rather than baths, but the experience makes...

Just back from a 2 night break with friends and we all agreed this is the best B&B ever. Set in a lovely quiet picturesque area with the lovliest of hosts you could wish to meet. Julie and Trevor were outstanding, so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We were welcomed so warmly and the little extra touches like...
