Getting to and arriving in toro toro was such an amazing experience.
We had identified somewhere beforehand as a place to stay but when we went to have a look at that place we found the room on offer was dark and with no outside place to sit. It was also more expensive than we'd paid in sucre.
Decided to have a look around. Were not going to go in to hostal asteria as it looked expensive.
Wow, what an amazing place. A beautiful colonial building set around a courtyard.
We were shown an incredible room that was like a suite it was so big. It had windows that opened out with incredible views. There was no real contest with what we'd seen before. We were able to do a deal with the owner as we intended to stay 3 nights.
Beautiful place and the owners were so kind and hospitable. As toro toro does not have many eating choices we were happy to eat at the hostel. Food prepared was simple but delicious. Breakfast was included and was fresh and lovely
We could have...

This is a good option for accommodation in Toro Toro. We just showed up at the door at midnight without a reservation while hoping for the best.

We stayed in a matrimonial for 200 bolivianos per night. The room was spacious and quietly located. The hot water in the shower is not very hot, but lukewarm is better than cold!

Breakfast is OK and the staff is very flexible in respect to arrange earlier breakfasts if you have excursions early in the morning.

The building itself is quite queer: Built in the style of a Moroccan riad with an open courtyard, although not furnished like one.

3 Thank Mari S
