Very limited electricity hours. Wifi was basically available in the bar/lounge area, but not functioning the whole 2 days. They where not able nor in anyway interested to fix it. During the day it got extremely hot in the room and since electricity was turned off you could not even use the small ventilator. Food was something between average and...

The lodge is well located in one part of the Samburu reserve. Rooms are pretty big with very nice landscape. Outdoor pool in which you can swim and look to the reserve and enjoy the great views. Service was very good. The only things they can improve a bit is the food: Lunch & Dinner are OK, Breakfast the variety...

Samburu Simba Lodge made the trip so comfortable, happy and beautiful. The staff over there are so welcoming. The services they provide are too good and ready on spot whenever needed. First of all the resort is not inside the samburu national park. Entrance to samburu national park takes 45 minutes from the resort. Food is really terrible. Not much options for Vegetarians. Rooms are not the best. No wifi in the resort. Also no credit card based payment facility available in the lodge. Facility mentioned on the lodge website were...

The pool at this lodge is about the only aspect, worthy of a stay. It is refreshing in hot weather and looks over the water hole where elephants sightings are very common. The hotel had significantly limited hours of electricity, as did several other lodges at which we stayed, but it was so hot during our stay and the ventilation...

Food was good and the atmosphere was quite nice. Very nice rooms and the pool area was a great place to relax after a wonderful game drive. The game reserve was one of my favourite during my 12 day stay in the Kenya area.

In the overall Samburu Reserve is a great place to view wildlife and the fascinating landscape but Samburu Simba Lodge is a great place to stay in. The unique location which gives a clear view of wildlife roaming on the plains. The rooms are clean and comfortable while meals are delicious. The staff is also very friendly and caring.

Our family safari, organised to perfection by Gamewatchers, started in this beautiful lodge. The setting was perfect and so close to the animals. Our rooms were all well appointed with beautiful views. The restaurant service was excellent and our waiter, Joseph was so kind and helpful, even to getting our pancakes for us rather than have us queue for them!...

Although the name of the lodge is called Samburu Simba Lodge, it is actually located in the Buffalo Springs Game Reserve. Samburu is the neighbouring game park. It must be for marketing proposes since Samburu is more widely known. In previous years I had always stayed in Samburu but something tweaked me in 2008 to go and inspect a new...
