Lovely people - good wholesome food - comfy bedrooms - Great place to go for a real holiday - especially if you want a break from cooking and house chores. We enjoyed the other guests and found everyone chilled and friendly - We felt very safe and enjoyed the golf, tennis and the great beach

Returned after nearly 30 years with new family. We loved it. Superb value and a genuine desire by proprietors to deliver rustic charm with uncompromising comfort...... now just to get the larger extended family back!

What a pleasure to stay at The Haven Hotel. They made sure we felt right at home and was very considerate. Will definitely recommend The Haven Hotel. They even allowed us to use their boat to cross the river as we were hiking the Transkei.

We all loved The Haven. A small, homely, friendly, typical Transkei hotel space set in a reserve of unspoilt natural bush and so inaccessible to most as to be totally private to guests and very peaceful. Clean, well appointed rooms, most with sweeping views, great, healthy food and an excellent, chilled vibe generally.

The bathroom in 21 was disgusting!!! The bath is stained and old and the water in the shower does not work. When you turn both taps on the hot water switches off. The shower curtain is too long and the glass shelf at the basin is in the wrong place, the toilet was blocked, overgrown with grass and full of...

We spent three nights at the Haven and had a great time, we stayed in a sea facing rondavel. The room was not great - no fan or aircon (but we didn't really feel we needed it), basic bathroom, hot water and even toilet flushing was pretty hit and miss but it didn't really bother us. The beach is amazing,...

on our arrival after a 20kms walk along the beach we were unexpectly given a delicious lunch, tea, coffee, chocolate mousse. We could not fault anything during our stay! We loved it and will definitely go back!! Such great value for money! Thank you!

This hotel is a wonderful getaway place for families, took me back to when i had small kids and stayed in some of the old Transkei hotels. Friendly staff, tasty food, value for money. Condition of road not too great.

Excellent facilities and accommodation with great catering! Our pet was allowed so it made for a nice family getaway. The location is rural and unspoiled. Once the road is complete it will be a pleasure visiting again.

excellent stay of a few days in this remote but excellent place. The willow vale road to access it is 85 km and..,. three hours but it is worth driving it. Itinerary to be asked to hotel reception. Stunning position in Dwesa nature reserve, behind the forested dunes with sea views, vervet monkeys included. Horses grazing the huge lawn in...
