Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The name fits the retreat perfectly...secluded retreat away from it all. Listen to the rainforest, night and day, and enjoy the lovely surrounds. We stayed in Bamboo and it was clean, great furniture and amenities, and had everything we needed for our 3 nights. The outdoor tub was awesome, showers great, bed comfy (though on the soft side) and the media options/TV with soundbar were great when hanging out. Pool is clean with fridge with drinks (pay of you take) books, mags and more. The only downside is you don't park in front of your unit. You park down a steep hill and get a ride if you organise it with the owners (golf cart). The owners were great and very responsive even if you needed a lift in the cart to go to your car. Highly recommend for a private, secluded and lovely stay in the rainforests of Queensland. Unforgettable.

We stayed in the Bamboo Villa. It was lovely and completely private, exactly as advertised. Very comfortable and close to the communal pool. Awesome double shower with great water pressure. We had a private spa with a wonderful view over the valley. Just as an FYI, you need to leave your car at the bottom of the hill and the owner will drive you and your bags up to your accommodation in an extended golf buggy. The pool was the perfect temperature and again the views are amazing.

My hubby and I had a very brief honeymoon in Dec 2020 so he wanted to make it up to me by giving us a romantic getaway. We arrived a bit late and still wanted to enjoy the spa. My hubby had ordered the Chandon and chocolates so we enjoyed those by the spa. I felt very spoiled. The hosts are generous with their meal baskets too. Beautiful escape!

We have just completed a five night stay at Seclude. This is our second time here and won’t be our last! Tony & Yvette were again fantastic hosts and always made sure were had everything we required. The property is situated within luscious vegetation and ensures the three onsite villas which are fabulously appointed are completely private from each other. The only real area that is communal is the pool, outdoor bar and bbq. We spent everyday by the large pool overlooking the valley, reading books, playing games and just chilling out. Needless to say, we were so relaxed when it sadly came time to leave. We would recommend Seclude to anyone looking for a romantic weekend away or a longer period to completely unwind!!!

We enjoyed a two night stay in acacia villa and thoroughly enjoyed it. Nothing was too much trouble for the lovely hosts. The villa is perfect for a couple and we found everything to be extra clean and comfortable. A couple of things to note are: -no phone coverage and very limited wifi -the directions when you use google maps are wrong. Call hosts to get proper directions -you cook your own meals... hamper options are on website -access is via unsealed roads None of these things detract from the wonderful experience of staying at such a beautiful and relaxing property.

My beautiful wife and I stayed at Seclude to celebrate her 40th Birthday, what can you say other than what a perfect place nestled amongst the rain forest, the views were amazing, soaking in the spa bath outdoors was truly magical, so relaxing, our hosts Yvette and Tony were fantastic and assisted in making our stay truly memorable. We will definitely be back for a return visit for some R & R. Once again thank you Yvette and Tony for your hospitality.

My partner surprised me this place for my birthday and it was like a hidden heaven on health. So quiet and secluded from anywhere, but not far from civilisation, just enough to feel like you we’re the only two people alive. The green lush hillsides and forestry surrounding you, to die for gardens grown by owners was simply perfect. Waking up every morning to this magic was exactly what one needs to rejuvenate and clear ones mind from all the everyday mind fog. Highly recommend booking this for at least 3 nights to really allow yourself to soak all the goodness up. Thank you Tony & Yvette for allowing us to share your paradise xx Ryan & Tash 🌿

We stayed 5 nights in Acacia, with a magnificent outlook to the hills and rainforest of the north. The standard of accommodation is faultless, with so much room to relax and connect. The garden is a showpiece and the pool a luxury, set amongst its own beautiful garden where you can enjoy nature and quiet. We had some of the meal packages, that were also faultless. We enjoyed breakfasts on the balcony, marvelling at the birds. We borrowed the Scrabble, read books and listened to music, reminding ourselves how good it is to be offline and in touch naturally. Thanks Yvette and Tony for a lovely visit.

Amazing retreat to get away from everything else, yet so close to Airlie and Proserpine. Completely hidden in the rainforest and off the main road. No sounds from nearby roads or anything else. Just the forest and the stars. Me and my partner stayed only one night, but felt reborn after all the luxury. The stylish villa has everything you need, including an amazing hot tub in your own private backyard. Beautiful scenery and such friendly hosts by this family owned property. Absolutely 5 stars and highly recommended.
