I chose this B&B in the main because of its location and favourable reviews. It was a mistake. I had told the owner months beforehand I would be travelling with my parents (aged 88 & 82) and we would be attending official ceremonies honouring two of my mother's grand uncles who died in the Battle of the Somme. I spoke...

I am sorry about your disappointment but as for every customer, I try to do my best The points which you raised had together been seen before your arrival. Particularly the event which took place in the evening to the guest house which was able to upset your arrival Concerning the room and the equipment, indeed the room of the...

I recently spent a week at this incredible b&b. It is ideally situated in the middle of the area where several of the more vital battles of the Battle of the Somme took place. Christine and Jean-Pierre, the owners, leave no stone unturned in their quest to give guests a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The rooms are comfortable and clean,...

This is the second time that I have stayed at this wonderful, historical B&B. I stayed here in 2009 with a friend and it was the accommodation of first choice when I decided to travel to The Somme with my adult son for the centenary of the battles of Fromelles and Pozieres in July 2016. This building is steeped in...

We chose to stay for three nights as part of the Somme Centenary. Lovely little B&B and Christine is a great host. There are 3 rooms, we stayed in the Nature room which was clean and sufficient for what we wanted. Breakfast is served in the dining room which also contains some fascinating memorabilia of WW1. During our stay we...

We visited Bernafay Wood as part of our Leger trip - we went to the Son et Luminere which took place in the grounds in the evening. On arrival we collected our authentic meal served from a 1911 Austrian field kitchen - this was very tasty and was washed down with some home made red wine. Then we had a...

Stayed here for a couple of nights in the 'soldiers rest' room in June. It is an old railway station, so, apart from your room (there is another upstairs) there is a kitchen with microwave, cooker and coffee machine and a dining room with TV. Do not expect bright and or smart, it is very dark and French, but we...

Unusual but pleasant B&B - part of an old railway station. The rooms are all in the old station building, separate from the owners house. Room was clean and adequate. A kitchen (microwave, kettle, fridge) and dining room is available (due to a checkin mix up with the owner - I didnt know of the existence of this until the...

I stayed here at the beginning of March 2015. It is a perfect location for visiting the WW1 battlefields and all the major Somme sites. Christine was very friendly and the family live apart from the B&B so you are free to come and go as you please. I had a very large room and enormous bathroom on the top...

“If you have a large party or family--the "family room" upstairs has several beds and two baths. We were there over the Easter holidays--and many restaurants were closed. We adapted by going to the grocery store for basic picnicing food, and "eating in"--fun--a chance to discuss the day--and saved money as well. This is an excellent place to search for artifacts!”
