The last place we stayed on our Sabah holiday, by now we were used to the welcome (or lack thereof) and took no offence. A lovely wooden mountain cabin that, had they added geraniums along the outside balcony would have had me believing I was in Europe. Lovely double room, wood floors, walls and ceiling. Lots of shelf space. Comfortable...

Second visit to Mt Kinabalu and first time at this lodge. We shared one of the family balcony rooms between friends. The room and facilities were clean, the shower was very hot ! The staff was friendly and helpful. Their food options are simple but very affordable. Being biologists we loved the incredible amount of moth species around it was...

The location of the lodge is easily accessible by the car but not by walking. As it can be very tiring. Me and my friends stayed in the dorm room for rm35 per night. It was perfect. The room is a pod style for more privacy. The blanket is super amazing. Love it. Slept like a baby. The staffs were...

I stayed for 3 nights in the dorm room. The beds are pod style with two curtains you can pull together (kind of) for privacy. They're quite comfy but the pillows aren't great. Being the mountains, it gets very cold at night. The lodge supplies a duvet but if, like me, you suffer from the cold you may need two....

The view from the lodge is beautiful! We upgraded our room within minutes to get a balcony so we could make the most of it. It's incredible! Sitting on the balcony with hot coffee and a book after a day of trekking was like paradise. We shared a cab from KK to the entrance of the National Park and then...

One of the closest more budget friendly lodges near to the park headquarters and the big climb. Basic accomodation with friendly staff, few amenities and a verandah view out over the hills. The entrance driveway is a hilly km and another easy km walk up to the park. Food here is very basic and there is minimal hot water and...

We were recommended to go there by other travelers, and it was just the best. The view from the balcony is outstanding, we could just sit there for hours and watch the clouds and lights change. The owners are really friendly, it felt like a home. Food was good (and vegetarian! which I liked). Place is clean, books to read,...

Comfortable lodges, friendly staff, great dining, perfect location. We couldn't have really asked for more. After arriving at Mt Kinabalu headquarters we completed the arrivals process with the staff and were escorted to a very comfortable 2 person lodge. The lodge had an en suite shower/toilet and a king sized bed. It didn't have air conditioning which resulted in the...

It's a beautiful lodge that offers private rooms or dorms. I stayed in a dorm; the beds are built into small bunks with curtains. You have a plug and your own lights in them. At night it can get a bit chilly since you are up on a mountain, so maybe pack a pair of good pj's and some socks;)...

Very nice place on a beautiful location. Perfect hangout to explore the area and trails around the mountain. Friendly staff, good vegetarian food and very clean bathrooms. A bit high priced but definitely worth the money. Wooden building can be a bit noisey though
