The location is awesome - right on beautiful Lake Okoboji. However, the hotel needs some help. We stayed in a standard hotel room - close to $200 per night in the middle of rural Iowa. Only one plug in worked, the shower barely got you wet, the TV was broken and the furniture etc must have come in a covered...

Not at all what we expected for $200/night. TV was from the 70's and reception was bad, there was only wifi in the lobby and it didn't work, the restaurant/bar was closed before 10:00 and there was nowhere to get a snack or a beverage. One of the two receptionists was very nice though and went outside with us to...

The rooms weren't horrible but there were spider webs and trash in every corner of every floor in the stairwell. The prices in the gift shop were astronomical. There was a fuel smell every where you went. The "internet" is ONLY in the lobby. No places to eat on site except from 8-2:00. We got a roll of toilet paper...

I didn't like this place too much. The bed was not comfortable, internet was only available in the lobby, no elevator in the "hotel" part of the resort, broken doors, dingy feeling, antiquated check-in system, no fridge or microwave in my room...so for those reasons, I give it a low rating. However, if you are a family with kids...this place...

Our organization held a banquet at the Main Street Eatery on 8/26 and were extremely disappointed with the results. We had 80 attendees including 65 who ordered meals. For nearly $24/person, we were served buffet style with plastic dinnerware. The food was mediocre at best. The salad was just plain, past its prime, iceberg lettuce. The two meatless meals that...

So...the parking lot is full, but you see no one but two staff people at the reception desk and young Asian girls in the lobby. We check in and get keys. There is one luggage cart for the whole place, one! The first thing that catches your attention is the overwhelming smell of propane. The "timeshare" unit is two attached...

I booked this resort before reading the reviews and was prepared for the worse. We stayed on the third floor in the hotel section. The odd numbers would have a view of the lake. We were in room 622&624 with a view of the parking lot. We had a one bedroom with a kitchen. The refrigerator was VERY small, if...

It was fun and there are lots of things to do. I would suggest the 8 hour boat rental package if you have over 8 people. The wave runner was super fun! . Arnolds park is fun too; I love the roller coaster. Swimming at village west is great and the sand beach is nice.

Old, awkward, unapologetic facility. Shower didn't work. Queen bed was more like something Gulliver's minions would call queen-sized. I could go on listing deficiencies but let's just say it is a dive and leave it at that. We may be too precious to enjoy a place like this. Value is sub-standard but then this place doesn't strive to standards of...

Extremely disappointed. We went for a family reunion and had pretty much an entire hallway of rooms reserved. We were there for four nights. The rooms are extremely dated, with TVs that are tiny and at least 15 years old, mismatched towels, and worn out fixtures. While the upgraded rooms in the hotel say they come with "full size" refrigerators,...
