Bright and light cheerful restaurant with excellent service with attention to detail. Decor appealed to me enormously (muted pale green and cream) and was stylish without being pretentious. It also appealed because it had a Gin of the Month, with knowledable advice, and a good selection of alternatives. I chose a set lunch and my companion ordered from the a...

Stopped for one night whilst visiting friends in the New Forest. Great Location just off the M27 but still inside the New Forest, surrounded by the horses, donkeys, pigs and cattle roaming freely ! Hotel room was spotless. We had a meal in the restaurant on the Saturday evening and would definitely recommend both the hotel and the foods. The...

Me and my partner ventured out too the bell for a meal, never been before but had heard how lovely it was! We were told there was an hour wait to be seated as they had one party of 6 and one of 8. Not an issue, we waited at the bar, once we sat in the restaurant the waitress...

I have been to the Bell Inn many times over the last few years. Recently they have completely refurbished the rooms and dining area. I had a business lunch there recently, and both the service and the food was exceptional. I will continue to use this venue for any business ( or pleasure ) i have in the area, as...

Been here recently two or three times for dinner now, and to be quite honest, it's been a bit disappointing. The food looks lovely when it arrives, but the taste doesn't always match expectations. for example, sometimes very salty. Had ice cream and it was more like overly sweet flavoured sorbet, gritty icy, not the right texture no cream in...

I have wanted to visit your restaurant for a while now, so I was happy to try it out yesterday. We turned up and were abruptly met by a member of staff, who just said "Lunch?" and pointed to the table we were standing by. Despite most of the restaurant being empty, this was right in the narrow path/archway between...

Dear LizH89, Thank you for taking the time to share your recent experience at The Bell Inn. We're delighted you enjoyed the food and ambience of our Inn but were hugely disappointed to learn about the service you received. We'd always hope that guests raise these issues at the time, in the hope that we can try and rectify them...

Had a fabulous stay here as guests of the evening do. Room 25 was lovely and cosy. V comfortable bed. The bar staff namely the v funny Scott and Russ coped well with the rowdy gin swigging guests. The day after the breakfast was lovely and almost sad not to be staying another night. Thumbs up from me
