My wife and I were looking at the fun placing to go and what places we could stay at based on out tripadvisor app and this b&b was listed. We looked at the comments and photos and decided this would be a great place to stay for an evening. All I can say is, WE LOVED IT! The old building... More

Just returned from a one night stay at the Redstone Inn & Suites. Beautiful building and the rooms were just as nice. The details in the woodwork and ceilings were amazing. The room we stayed in was large and very nice. Large private bathroom with a relaxing whirlpool which felt great after being out on a rainy, chilly night The... More

My cousin and I stayed two nights at this historic and elegant B&B, renting separate rooms, and we found the caretaking by Robert, the owner, to be the best part of our stay. As there is no elevator in this 19th Century mansion, my cousin needed help with the stairs and her luggage. Robert was always ready to assist and... More

Location was prefect for visiting museum, shops, and other activities in Dubuque, Iowa. The management was pleasant at all times. Our room was clean, comfortable and the value of our stay was excellent. The morning breakfast was to "die" for, a home hot dish and fantastic fruit and other assorted items available. Lovely stay and will stay again when in... More

This is a tired old mansion in need of some serious TLC near Dubuque’s downtown area. But inside, the rooms are nice, and this is a great alternative to chain hotels at about the same cost, and breakfast here is much better! The rooms are decorated in a Victorian theme, and there was a fridge, microwave, and ionizing fan in... More

We stayed for 2 nights and where overwhelmed by the character of the home and caretaker. Breakfast both days was filling and delicious while being accompanied by great conversation with the other guests and the caretaker. Our room was upgraded upon arrival due to a low census. Plus all of the major attractions in Dubuque where within walking distance. We... More

Whether traveling to Dubuque, Iowa, or traveling through Dubuque, consider stopping in this great river town. The downtown area has excellent restaurant, bars, and shops. With the great bluffs overlooking the Mississippi, staying at the Redstone Inn makes your trip to Dubuque truly special. The Redstone is an old world mansion that has very large rooms that are fully decorated... More

This was our 4th time at the Redstone in 9 months. Robert was a very gracious host the inn is so clean and beautiful like stepping somewhere back in time the beds are firm with lots of amenities. Microwave fridge and huge whirlpool tub. We cant wait to stay there again close to shopping restaurants, vinny vanucchis, stone cliff winery... More

Recently spent two nights in Dubuque on a weekend. The proprietor was extremely friendly and helpful from carrying our bags to our room to going out in the morning to pay the meter in the parking lot across the street so we wouldn't get a ticket. The interior of the Inn is fantastic and right out of a fin de... More

We had the opportunity to experience the rude customer service with our brief interaction with Robert. My wife and I made a reservation for four nights stay at the Redstone Inn only to realize that we had made a mistake. Apparently there are several Redstone Inns including Iowa, Utah and Colorado. Without realizing our mistake, we showed up at the... More
