Did a great job of serving two cricket teams, including their vast entourage, quickly an efficiently. Even managed to cook the steaks so they were tender and juicy. No mean feat when there's that many patrons to serve at once.

If you're passing through Molesworth on your way to anywhere this is a Must Do stop for dinner, especially on Steak Night Thursday. The food was superb, and the staff pleasant, efficient and helpful. What a nice surprise we had when we made a random stop for dinner.

Arrived for dinner without a reservation this was not a problem even though it was pretty busy. Great friendly service. Meals took awhile to come out but staff kept us well informed. Good size pub type meals in lovely environment. Lots of quirky art and memorabilia on walls to keep you amused whilst waiting.

As Molesworth is halfway along the Great Victorian Rail Trail - and just before the 'long climb' to Cheviot Tunnel the Hungry Horse makes a perfect rest for the night. Jo and her partner and all of the locals made me really welcome and the food was just what a hungry cyclist needed. The rooms were ideal and recommend this...

Last minute decision to travel to Molesworth Hotel for tea, and boy were we impressed, surprised and delighted at our choice for tea. Walking into with dining room was just breathtaking. I left my phone at home so couldn't take any photos (you just have to go to experience it 😉). The staff were so pleasant and accommodating. Food was...

I've been driving past this place for many years always on the road to the High Country. However today we decided to stop, and I'm glad we did. The Molesworth Hotel has been under new management for a few months and we had an opportunity to chat with the new owner and also the cook. It has a revamped interior...

Had a delicious lunch here, brilliant lamb cutlets and risotto. The dining room has an eclectic selection of furniture which adds to the rustic charm. Plenty of room, friendly staff and a nice beer garden.

Awesome country Victorian hotel with very friendly management and staff. We've stopped in for lunch here a few times on our way home from our caravan in nearby Mansfield and the food, beer and service has always been first class. We called in today and we both well impressed with the renovations and the food was again spot on. Will...
