We arrived to signs in the lobby, welcoming our group of 50 people. The hotel was fully booked, but had my 25 room cards ready at 12:30 so we could stop by and pick up the cards prior to our afternoon activities in Shipshewana. We had nice-sized rooms, comfortable beds, and a wonderful breakfast.

We have stayed at the Van Buren Hotel several times before. Last Saturday, we were surprised and disappointed at the poor customer service that was delivered! First, the fire alarm went off at around 1am. We understand that this happens, sometimes. The next morning, however, the whole breakfast experience was terrible! The juice machine was broken, the coffee machine was...

After many nice stays after ND football games, the last stay was really, really bad. Fire alarm went off three times (once at 2am). Much breakfast equipment (waffle maker, coffee machine) was not working. We asked for someone to call us to discuss, but no one did and no one really seemed to care about the lack of quality. A...

We booked this hotel on 9/2/16 through Expedia. On 9/16/16 we called the hotel to advise we would be checking in late on 9/17/16. We gave them our itinerary, booking information and they stated there was no reservation for us. I explained we had book through Expedia and our confirmation of the booking had been received. My sister and I stayed at the Van Buren and were not disappointed. The room had 2 queen beds, was very clean and fresh smelling. The bathroom was also bigger than expected. Our room had a refrigerator, microwave, hair dryer, iron, etc. The breakfast was tasty and filling. It was a nice place to return to after a day of...

From check in, very clean room, comfortable bed, good and hot breakfast every day, coffee and tea which is kept fresh 24/7 to check out, can't say enough. We really enjoyed one of...

We stayed two nights. The room, lobby and surrounding area were spotless. The buffet breakfast included was very good. The TV was a little on the small side but the air conditioner worked great and the beds were soft but comfortable. The pool area was clean with a patio with picnic table which we took advantage of. Overall, a very...

Very nice hotel. Clean and comfortable room. This hotel had a very nice staff that was very helpful. Good breakfast with lots of choices. Just a little north so you have to drive back to town but plenty of parking downtown so doesn't matter that it is out of town.

The hotel was very nice. The staff is very helpful and the rooms are comfortable and clean. The amenities in the room are miniature and will accommodate one person but I am sure you could ask for more shampoo and lotion if needed. The beds are soft and the pillows are alternate down. Very nice. The towels are a bit...
