We had a such a wonderful time here, absolute luxury, kind, friendly and efficient work team. We went during off season, which was ideal for us, not many people around, we travelled here from Hanoi, so the difference was vast. We we’re in room 2501, and I must say the views were something to behold.

Would definitely return here.

The rooms where immaculate. So lucky to have the chance to stay.

The beach is literally on your door, but if you don’t fancy the walk then you can be picked up via a large golf buggy.

Beach bars are open and some good restaurants on the front. Again really lovely people.

Thank the Lord for Google translate, I’d recommended it to anyone.

Wonderful unique resort in Ha Long City, special location on the Island but can drove myself from the mainland to the Resort without fairy!
It was very quite, peaceful and full of nature around my room. I love the best road ever connect from the Reception Building to my room. You should try and do not forget filming along the internal road, up to the mountain

I just booked this property thr booking com. The plus points are nice location where is near by the seaside beach, nice swimming pool, good staffs of restaurant and almost other staffs except receptionist and sale person.
Once i book the booking, i noted the big double bed but no answer until i came to the resort that i saw 2 very small beds separately. That i was so disappointed.
The second one is i noted in the booking we had 2 adults + 1 kid eleven years old. They charged me abit more, that was fined, no problem. But once i came the room that i found only two towels for two person, i did call reception to ask for 1 more set or 1 more towel for my kid but he refused that because he said my room was set up for 2 people only, the kid charge was only for breakfast, not allowed for 1 more towel for my kid? What service was for? Very bad behaviour and bad service. I would never come back here again

Awful. I only give 1 star for the view and 1 star for friendly and nice staff. The resort looks nothing like in the pictures on booking.com (well, except for the view and surroundings). The worst part are breakfasts, every day the same, and nothing to chose form. Two or three types of fruit, juice mixed with water, and the rest of the food is tasteless like in a cheap buffet. Everything in the room was old, needs repair, some paint and some serious cleaning. The whole bathroom smelled like urine. I didn’t risk to take a bath in that dirty tub. Instead of double bed we had 2 beds put together.
They do keep the territory clean, green and neat though.
But our stay was far from what we expected from the description and the photos.

This was a huge disappointment and shame for us as we booked an extra night of our trip here as we thought it looked fab online and were very excited for the halong bay part of our trip.
On arrival the lobby was nice and staff helpful, but we were told straight away that there was construction on the beach which could be loud and we werent even allowed on there!! Not a great start. No compensation offered at all which was disappointing. They just said next time you come it will be done. No good to us when we have saved and travelled for ages to get to what we thought was paradise.
Our room was run down and in desperate need of refurbishment. Wallpaper peeling off, damp walls, the bath looked ancient and not very clean. We also boooked a sea view which we didnt get as they have planted a million palm trees blocking the view.
When we asked where we could eat and drink locally we were only offered the hotel restaurant which had very little choice and overpriced.
The breakfast very much catered to Chinese guests so we cancelled it after onw morning. So expensive at 7 dollars per head per day to add on.
Beer there is very expensive, nearest shop ia a 20 min walk away so we would stock up there. No restaurants or bars anywhere near. The ones that were were all shut! We had to taxi into halong city every night for some sort of entertainment.
Tractors and diggers kept us up til 2am some nights. Ridiculous

I'm working this review after just having checked out about 20 minutes ago. I was just dropped of to the bus station to head back to Hanoi. The receptionist said the ride to the bus station was a courtesy, however, the driver charged us 100k. I live in Hanoi and have taken plenty of grab taxis. I know that short ride to the airport was not worth 100k. I'm continually annoyed with Vietnamese citizens always trying to squeeze a buck out of tourists. As for the hotel itself, it seems older, but they have done a pretty good job at maintaining it. The room was spacious, but the floor was very dusty as if it hadn't been swept or mopped. The pool was nice, but we didn't use it. I opted to pay for breakfast for only one morning and I'm so glad I didn't pay for more. It was not good at all. Maybe for Vietnamese, but I don't think Americans or even Europeans would find the breakfast worth the money. I rented a motorbike through staff at the hotel for 200k. I think the price was pretty high considering I only needed it for a few hours. I've rented better motorbikes in other cities for cheaper. The wifi was pretty much nonexistent in our room. I was not able to teach my online English class and our phones only worked on wifi sometimes. All in all, the hotel stay was fine and the staff was very nice and professional. I'm just mad it ended on a sour note with the taxi driver.

I agree, best thing about this place is leaving it.
Reception- terrible
Room - terrible
Food - terrible

We booked based on reviews and photos, and was very very disappointed.
They relly need to do something about their immage and try and earn their stars.
At this time I dont recommend this place for a stay.

Was looking forward to 5 days of just relaxing on a beach before touring the rest of Vietnam. How disappointed I was. This hotel is not fit for purpose and should barely scrape a 2* never mind a self appointed 4* because it is anything but. The staff don’t speak a word of English either. This hotel is geared up to Chinese tourists who have little or not standards and couldn’t care less where they are.

We booked a “deluxe promenade villa” which I assumed would be near the beach. It was in fact way up a steep hill and located in what looked like a converted house into small apartments. The concierge insisted on accompanying us to the room despite not carrying a single one of our bags and had the audacity to hang about expecting a tip once he showed us to the room.

The room was absolutely filthy and in a state of disrepair. There were massive greasy handprints all over the mirror in the main room, hair and dirt all over the floor throughout the room. The ash tray on the balcony was full of the brim of with the cigar buts of the precious guest who had stayed here. The towels were covered in dirty marks, the glasses in the bathroom had someone’s lipmarks all over them and the double bed had a single bed duvet spread horizontally for us both to share, absolutely atrocious. We complained to the reception but they barely understood our concerns. They sent a cleaner to the room who somehow managed to only wipe away half of one of the hand prints that were on the mirror and she replaced the towels.

Breakfast was completely inedible. There was no food whatsoever we could eat except the eggs that they fry in front of you. All the food was catered purely to the Chinese market. The chef on the egg bar opened the kitchen door and I got a glimpse inside there and there was at least 10 full bin bags of garbage on the floor, clearly no health and safety standards here. Not to mention the tables themselves which were incredibly sticky and just totally filthy.

We ended up cutting our stay short from 5 days down to 2 as we could not stay there any longer. We explained our issues to the reception upon exit and to be fair to them they did give us 20% off the 2 nights we did stay and we didn’t have to pay for the outstanding nights. This resort has the potential to be a real fantastic resort that’s of a high quality that will attract more high quality people rather than the mass groups of Chinese that the hotel clearly only caters to. I’d describe the resort as the Benidorm of Asia. Certainly will not be back!

No way will we ever come back. Food terrible, Rooms run down. Staff not accommodating. No idea how to cook (even eggs). Booked 3 nights, stayed 1. Had to get out of there asap. Would recommend elsewhere. Looked like someone had spat on the wall in our room and was old and not cleaned. No safe. Only one key available. If you see a beautiful jet shower thing in pictures don't worry about it cos we didn't see one. Also definitely not a deluxe beach side private villa as advertised, just a run down small room upstairs with 2 single beds (bricks) pushed together with a blanket that barely covers 2 people. Location is good tho, shame about the rest.
