Detailed Reviews
Spent three nights camping at the Woolshed. Had a powered site with water. Great sites although on an incline but it wasn’t too bad. Modern amenities with washing machines. Cafe is open on for a few days and we missed the damper kitchen. Walked around the property which is included in your camp fee. No fires in the powered sites but you can have them in the camping sites. Overall good site for $28.50 per night

Well I didnt know they had camping. Wife found it on the net. We are just traveling home and only need 1 night. What a surprise. Great spot lovely staff and lots of space. Great they take dogs and open up all facility's to campers (very tidy and clean). I will be back to stay longer. The biggest disappointment was not knowing about the camping earlier. Well done Jondaryan woolshed. PS the museum and animals are awesome.

Spent a lovely day here for Mother's Day. They had a beautiful roast lamb buffet with salad and roast vegies, apple crumble and warm custard. Champagne for the mothers. Damper the works. We watched the sheep shearing, whip cracking, watched the kelpies round up the sheep and watched a horse display. Had a lovely ride in a carriage being pulled behind the big drought horses. Meet a 2 day old lamb. It was a really enjoyable day. I recommend attending any of there events ie Mothers day etc.

We brought our kids here when they were about 7 or 8 years old and they loved it. They have been asking for years to return. Yep, we made it almost ten years later.
We were not disappointed.
Again we used the shearers quarters. At first we thought we may have been too hot during the night but it was very comfortable. One disappointing thing was that the care takers had their caravans behind the quarters so you could not just look out to the paddock and down to the creek like last time. Also could hear their radios.
Next time, and there will be a next time we will bring the camping gear and head down to the creek.
This is the perfect spot to step back in time and stop to just listen to the world breath. I think that one night is just not enough though. We will need to stay for at least 3 nights next time.
There are lovely little cottages to stay in or you could bring a caravan if camping of the shearers quarters are not your thing. This place is perfect for all age groups.
Jondaryan woodshed specialise in weddings with a country feel. The beauty of having a wedding here is you can party under the stars and in the shearing shed until you are ready to rest on site. Plus your friends and family can stay on too without having to pay those big city prices.
Truly a must see for every Queenslander. Come on an visit the home of the Jackie Hhowe singlet.
If you live in the South East corner of Queensland it is only about 2 and half hours from Brisbane.

Loved this place! Family of 4 bunked it for the night in the comfy shearers cabins. Superb amenities block right outside. Kids love wandering through the woolshed, and the pioneer buildings, giving them some idea of what it was like for early settlers and their families. Sadly we arrived a week after the big Jackie Howe festival so there wasn't much else going on around the site. An animal nursery/farmyard kept the kids entertained as well as the undercover fire pit in the camp kitchen. Beautifully quiet and quaint, a few caravans pulled in for the night but woke to birds chirping and a lovely sunrise. The woolshe itself is just enormous and well worth a wander through. Plenty of old machinery, trucks, tractor, windmills, an original old dairy and cheese factory and loads of historical displays and info to check out. Definitely worth a visit for anyone of any age! Onsite restaurant as well, bush tucker inspired. We had a good meal on a quiet Friday night.

Love visiting The Woolshed at Jondaryan. Great place to visit to learn a little history and also to stay. Have stayed in all accommodation options over the last few years ie. the cabins, camping by the creek and more recently the quarters accommodation. Facilities are very functional with a massive camp kitchen with fire pit. Showers & toilets have always been well maintained. Will keep on coming back.
