I spent 4 days at Swami's resort and found it to be absolutely wonderful and certainly best value for money around as far as yoga retreats go. Twice daily sessions in yoga, an array of afternoon and evening workshops from mindfulness to chi-gong to chakra alignment to meditation. Three wholesome meals, deliciously prepared. There are a variety of places to while in the hours away in between the workshops and sessions including a quaint library equipped with a fireplace, spa and sauna, gym and outdoor tables and hammocks where you can take in the extraordinary view. Tea and coffee facilities available for those who need their tea all day around. The rooms are simplistic and minimalist lending to calm serenity, beautifully equipped. The bathrooms are clean and showers generous and well heated. Just be aware there is a no door locking policy so take the no valuables rule seriously. Also be aware that mobile reception is pretty bad, but it is a good place to digitally detox anyway. Maybe just check in beforehand on the real necessity to take towel, blanket, pillow, mat, block, hand sanitiser etc as I found many of the other guests were not required to. The staff are all exceptionally kind and insightful, I particularly enjoyed Niels workshops and also Johns. The volunteers at the centre vary so you can get a different variety of food and experiences/workshops in any one year which is fun. Time has a different, unrushed natural quality there, settle back into your natural body rhythms and destress by surrendering to the routine and process and you will feel rejuvenated in only a few days.

I really enjoyed my stay. You could do everything offered or nothing. All my needs were met, the accommodation was warm and bed was comfy, the linen was so clean and soft, wood heating in all shared spaces, the food was lovely and you will not go hungry. This place was way beyond my expectations. If you need to recharge this place will be perfect. Plus they have hammocks and I love a chill in a hammock

I stayed at Swami's for 2 nights and especially enjoyed the gym, pool, jacuzzi, and steam sauna. It was a great, relaxing, and refreshing experience. If you are already an experienced yogi, you might not learn anything new in the yoga classes but they would still make you sweat. Good yoga teachers but in none of the classes there was a proper flow but we rather slowly transitioned from position to position. It gave me the impression that Swami's is rather suitable for yogi's 50+ but I still got a good exercise out of the gym and pool. The food was good but if you ask for seconds (as a sign encourages you to do), you might not get anything since there is nothing left. Also, I found it a pity that the staff was eating in a separate room and never interacted with the visitors. I have experienced this differently in other retreats where it was possible to talk to the volunteers and ask them questions and they were extremely friendly, warm and welcoming. The staff here did not greet or smile when you crossed them which felt a bit odd in what is supposed to be a wholesome place. The vibe is not really "together" or "community" which disappointed me a bit. Sanjay is really friendly though! I am not sure if I would go again. It would be worth it for the nature experience and do de-stress from the hectic city life as well as using the pool and spa area but yoga-wise, I could also take classes in Sydney which would benefit my needs more.
What was really nice was a follow-up email with an extensive cookbook. I think this is a very sweet gesture. It also contained a pdf with an explanation of a few yoga poses with pictures.

As soon as you enter the property you can feel a sense of instant peace.
Everything about this place is humble and fulfilling. From the wonderful environment, classes run by exceptional teachers, the philosophy the retreat is based upon as well as Sanjay and all the volunteers who are always extremely helpful.
This was my second stay in a glamping tent and I highly recommend A++

My second experience of Swami Yoga was as good if not better than the first. In my first visit I stayed in a Tent. I have given it a capital T for a reason as it was a very special tent. Clean warm with heating electric blankets and lights. Twin beds that were made with fresh crisp linen, warm, cosy, glowing but open to the air. This time I stayed in a room with a bath room. It was like sleeping in a yoga space. Clean clam and beautiful. Waking to the sound of the bell with a morning meditation walk through the national forest ending on a huge rock over looking the tree filled gully and back for breakfast. Toast real butter scrambled tofu with tumric and a large helping of spice enriched oats with sweet organic fruit. And that is how the day started. Needless to say between instructional yoga classes warmed by an open fire. Meditation and a lesson in happiness. The day was filled. There was lots of down time where I used the steam room and the spa and the pool. I also spent time just staring into the fire like I did as a child seeking out fairy houses and dragons. Unlikely friendship were struck with other guests who we caught up with at lunch and dinner. Every city needs a place like Swami. It is restorative and beautiful. I never did so much in a day but it felt like I did nothing at all. So relaxing.

Shusss don’t tell everyone as I want to go there all the time.

We attended this ‘retreat’ if that’s what they call it. There is nothing retreat about it, from the accommodation, meals and facilities. The place is run mainly by international backpackers who are called volunteers, ie) can park their camp trailers on the property and stay for free in lieu of cooking and cleaning. The food was of a very poor standard, certainly no chef here! We had to ask for more food on one night, with another 5 people also requesting more food! There was more flavour in my cheese and avocado sandwich then there was in my dinner. There are no snacks/ morning or afternoon tea between meals. With dinner at 5:30pm and breakfast not until 9am, it’s certainly good for anyone wanting to go on at 15.5hr fast... that certainly wasn’t me. The schedule never changes, the same activities are done every day at the same time. The accommodation is nothing special. Similar to what you would find in an $80 motel. Linen was clean but sheets did have a few stains on them.
The highlight for us was an intimate acoustic guitar solo singer, who performed 5 songs after a meditation. The yoga wasn’t too bad, very beginner level. Although I preferred the yoga classes I get for free off YouTube.
When we booked this retreat, the company boasts about being on plenty of acreage for the active walkers to explore. The only walk is a 600m goat track which you do each morning. Nothing spectacular. I felt the whole place is run down and in need of some renovations. Ornaments inside the rooms were covered in spider webs and loungers were faded and dusty. Certainly not worth the reviews others gave. Highly over rated.

This is my second visit this year and I am so excited to have found my Bali style bliss so close to Sydney. This is not your 5 star Health retreat but it is an honest spiritual style ashram for people who want to rejuvenate or reinvent themselves in the most peaceful bush surroundings. Sanjay who runs the establishment, is the son of Swami Sarisvati who people my age will remember from the 70's. She was really the first person to introduce yoga to Australia. This retreat will not disappoint you, with simple, clean accommodation, nutritious vegan food and a program to satisfy everyone's needs. As I am a senior I opted for the more gentle yoga and meditation classes....but they cater for the level and needs of all ages. You can also book a massage if you want. The massages I have had there are just brilliant. What I love the most is that you are not pressured to do anything....it is all there if you want it. My needs at the moment were to just "chill" and I read a book and attended some of the workshops. The highlight for me are the people that you meet and the incredible conversations especially at the communal dinner table. I am sure I have made friends for life. They are also very Covid conscious and this is comforting. Treat yourself.....it is incredible.

I went to Swami's for one night with a few of my girlfriends and stayed in the glamping tents.

We had never been to a yoga retreat before, so we were a little unsure about what to expect, but this really exceeded expectations.

I was blown away by the affordability of the retreat, considering how much is offered. I loved how laid back everything was, and I honestly came home feeling relaxed and recharged.

The food was absolutely delicious, and my food allergies were looked after with ease. Even one of the girls I went with enjoyed it and she is an exceptionally picky eater!

We were only able to stay for one yoga session, and it was one of the best classes I've ever done. The teacher was absolutely wonderful, and the class was tailored to all skill levels.

I also had a massage while I was there which was amazing.

The only negative feedback I have is that the glamping tents and some of their contents were a bit mouldy, but in all honesty that didn't impact my experience. However, some of the people I went with mentioned it could be an issue due to their allergies/ skin.

While some (not all) of the amenities were run down, I was able to overlook them due to the affordability and overall experience.

I would highly recommend going to Swami's - I will be back for a longer stay in future!

Great place to enjoy a range of yoga and meditation classes in a serene bush setting. Basic accommodation which meets all needs and is very clean. I had an ensuite room which was very spacious for one or two people and the bed was so comfortable, best 4 nights of sleep I've had in a long time. All the staff/volunteers were friendly and helpful while leaving you to your own devices to enjoy some peace and quiet. The food was outstanding - delicious, nutritious and well presented. The long break between 5.30pm dinner and 9am breakfast is challenging for some but I think its good to realise we don't need eat as often or as late as we're used to. The weather was lovely during my visit so I spent many hours by the pool. They could probably do with some more lounges and pool umbrellas for when it gets busy. This is my second visit and I'll definitely be a regular whenever I need a few days of rest and relaxation. Great place to recharge

What a discovery! Spent three days here, wish I could have stayed longer. Wanted to do a detox and some soul cleaning and Swami's delivered. I can't say enough good things about this place and was surprised to see that there were any negative reviews. Hard to say what I enjoyed most as everything was excellent and each part contributes to the overall synergy of the place. The entire place has a contented aura. The staff are volunteers and were all enthusiastic about providing their guests with the best experience possible. I'm a meat eater and thought I'd miss it, but the vegetarian meals provided were all delicious . Especially when eaten mindfully! The yoga, meditation and learning sessions were all led by knowledgeable people and definitely help me find inner peace. My wife enjoyed the massages, whist I appreciated the gym, steam room and swimming pool. They have comfortable rooms but we stayed in one of their amazing Harry Potter tents. They look smallish on the outside but appear gigantic when you're inside. Glamping in style. If your looking for a break from day-to-day stresses, this is the place for you.

Loved the tenting but I am an old camper from way back and if you weren’t prepared to use the bushes the toilet facilities were a good 69 or so metres away and the only shower was the one in the gym. I went with a group so I got to use friends’ showers!
