Detailed Reviews

Situated on The Lakes Way, this resort makes for a quiet holiday with the conveniences of Foster Tuncurry only a short drive away. Self contained units are clean and comfortable with great inclusions for self catering. The pool area is lovely although people tend to hog the spa, tennis courts and kids playground are all included plus a recreation room. One great feature is washing machines and dryers are free. Short walk to Elizabeth Beach Recreation Club, but you will need to drive to local shops. Mind you if you visit in December youre in for a lovely Christmas light display

It's our first time in Pacific Palms and will surely be not our last. The location is so fitting to our family bonding activities where we managed to have fun in the beach, hiking (Booti Hill and Wallis Lake walking track), snorkeling at The Tank, sight seeing and explore places where we want to spend time next time we book in. Thank goodness for we were blessed with a good weather.
Upon arrival it's a habit to check all the not uncommonly use surfaces and see if it's been cleaned. I am very satisfied with the cleanliness of the unit. The resort facilities are also so homey.
Well done to the team of Pacific Palms Resort. We will be back as soon as we can.

Stayed for a week in Jan 2024 and our family loved it. Villa layout was perfect for our family with 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom working well for us. There was a bbq right outside our unit which was maintained daily by staff and was perfect for cooking our summer dinners on though admittedly eating outside was not ideal with all the mozzies! The pool, tennis court, rec room and laundry were all in good order and perfect for family stays. Our kids loved the Christmas lights display out side reception. Thanks to the PP Resort team for a great stay.

If I could give no stars I would.
Awful staff and awful stay. The old lady owner is such a rude person. Would never ever recommend this place in a million years. They are never open at reception they don’t care for their guest at all. The facilities are poor and run down. It’s not very safe and secure. It’s loud so don’t plan on getting much sleep if you stay here. Especially near the pool and tennis court area. Not central to much shopping facilities or food. The rooms are dusty as and you can smell the mould when you first enter. It’s honestly atrocious. They need to clean the places much better especially that there is a world wide pandemic. I felt so dirty being there. The beds are the cheapest spring beds they could find along side with the cheapest pillows. Everything is run down or made poorly.

Located in a nice spot between the lake and beach. Cabins and resort older style but well maintained.
The Manager Claire needs to remember guests are on holidays…lighten up and be friendly and helpful or change jobs where you don’t deal with people. It really feels like an inconvenience when you enter the office.
I rang about the sauna not working (which it was the same problem as the two days before) but because it was 3.10pm…10mins past the office time nobody would fix it. I would understand if this was 10 or 11pm however as residential managers you’re responsible for the equipment working especially during reasonable daylight hours.
Don’t even get me started about the parking…asked to park our 2nd car for one night on-site. Claire said absolutely not we are FULLY BOOKED. We counted 6 cars in the entire resort for the week.
Managers inflexibility and unfriendliness tarnish a good stay.

Awful
Don’t stay there
Mouldy smell to our room,
dusty blankets
Pathways blocked by overgrown leaves and branches
No gas in top bbq area empty gas bottle
Reception not open to let them know
The lady with the grey hair
the management / runners of the resort
was extremely rude to my partner when he came into the reception area,
he asked her a question and she answered rudely but didn’t even lift her head to speak to him
and my partner never complains, but seemed upset so I asked what was wrong and he told me what had happened with the female manager who we have now found out her name is Claire.
I have stayed there on and off over the past 6 years but haven’t been back for about 3 years.until recently.
I always loved my stay there and felt so welcome before my recent stay.
When I stayed 3 years ago the place was run by the most beautiful people, so family oriented and I was expecting to see them again,
they had the place so well run everything worked and always happy to assist if we needed anything
Unlike the new management who are quiet rude
really.
The only good thing about this stay was the spa and pool and the quiet setting.
I’m glad my partner booked in his name not mine as I would be asking for a refund,
but my partner is to nice and will just let it go and not say anything, this is why I have not mentioned his name as he would be highly embarrassed we are a older couple and would have liked to be tested kindly not like we were a inconvenience.
Bring back the old managers or family friendly people like them.
Will never stay there again

We stayed with friends in a two bedroom apartment, Everything we needed was there (except an oven). It was comfortable, clean, comfy beds, shower was a bit dodgy but manageable. There was only parking onsite for one car so we had to leave ours out on street for the week but there were no issues with that. Short walk to a lovely beach. I would highly recommend the place.

In these Covid-19 times I found the resort has good rules. Resulting in some resort amenities being closed. The villa was clean and spacious. Great location for sightseeing, beaches and walks. The only problem was with NO mobile phone reception and bad internet connection.

A comfortable 2 bed cottage with good supply of amenities was ours for a 3 night stay. Leafy, quiet and nice for a get away. Pleasantly surprised with gift voucher for club because the stove top was not functioning. Some traffic noise. Trialling dog friendly cottages.

Pacific Palms resort we for us a quiet escape with Elizabeth Beach a walk away.
The Recky club bring a walk away for club style meals was excellent.
We experienced a wet week but were able to to enjoy our break regardless. The resort is a great place to wind down!

They do have wifi at a cost of $10 per week.
We did not seee any snakes just plenty of birds
Hello was thinking of visiting end of March beginning april. What is the weather normally like then?
Should be starting to cool down mid 20s
Very limited parking in the street at the back of the resort however it is on a very steep hill and would not advise to leave boat on the hill without being attatched to the car. Inside is one park space per car but limited room to move.overall i found it all very difficult
Thank you for your question. Every unit has car parking for 1 vehicle and this park is located just outside the main door of the respective unit.
The Resort has an outdoor spa heated to 37 degrees celsius.
